ISE 2025
Shure announced the Microflex Wireless neXt 4/neXt 8. The products debuted at the company’s booth at ISE 2025.
Following the well-received all-in-one 2-channel system since its introduction in 2024, new component 4-channel and 8-channel products will be added to the series. The new products are wireless collaboration systems that combine stylish design, excellent sound quality, and quick setup. The neXt 4/neXt 8, which can be flexibly adapted to any conference room or classroom environment, sets a new standard for high-quality wireless systems.
“Shure is committed to providing the highest level of customer service possible,” said Ralph Klinert, Senior Manager of Product Management at Shure.
The neXt 4/neXt 8 is a great solution for enhancing collaboration and interactive experiences with high flexibility and easy setup. The new 4-channel and 8-channel systems make MXW neXt solutions available for medium to large sized spaces.
The MXW neXt 4/neXt 8 offers advanced product components and improved software connectivity to simplify workflow while providing exceptional audio quality.
Superior Wireless Performance
The MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 are new additions to the MXW neXt product line, and feature IntelliMix DSP functionality and a full range of audio inputs and outputs that support USB, Dante network audio, and analog audio.
The microphone pairs in seconds, eliminating the need for complicated setup and delivering high quality audio right out of the box, while the entire system can be easily configured and tuned using Designer 6 system design and tuning software.
MXW neXt 4/8 can also be managed through ShureCloud, a centralized management platform for Shure networked audio products, allowing facilities personnel to manage, monitor, update and control devices in real time from anywhere, providing greater flexibility and convenience.
Meeting evolving hybrid needs
The MXW neXt 4/neXt 8 can be directly connected to video conferencing systems to support meetings, classes, and events that include remote participants, and can use up to 100 or more wireless microphones simultaneously to provide premium audio to spaces of any size.
The new gooseneck-based transmitter and Microsoft Teams-certified boundary microphone have an improved continuous operating time of up to 39 hours, allowing for reliable use even during all-day operations.
With a built-in high-performance IntelliMix DSP, the MXW neXt 4/neXt 8 access point transceiver is quick and easy to deploy and can be used as a standalone system or connected to a network.
Reliable encryption
The MXW neXt 4/neXt 8 includes Shure audio encryption based on the AES-256 algorithm, allowing for highly private audio transmissions. The AES-256 encryption algorithm is one of the most secure forms of network protection available, and all devices use a user-defined passphrase. This built-in security feature provides peace of mind, knowing that audio data is protected between all Microflex devices in the room.
Shure Microflex Wireless neXt 4/neXt 8 System Configuration
The MXW neXt 4/neXt 8 wireless transmitters are available in four different shapes: MXW1X bodypack, MXW2X handheld (with four microphone capsules to choose from, including Shure’s iconic SM58), MXW6X boundary, and MXW8X gooseneck base. The transmitters are equipped with a high-resolution matrix display, allowing users to check remaining charge time, signal quality, and more. The MXW neXt 4/neXt 8 also come with a newly designed, space-saving gooseneck charging station, which can charge up to eight microphones. The charging station is connected to the wireless access point via Ethernet, and multiple charging stations can be daisy-chained together if necessary.
Shure’s MXW neXt 4/neXt 8 connects seamlessly to various video conferencing platforms, and the boundary microphones are Microsoft Teams certified.
