DoPchoice has announced the release of the SNAPBAG AIRGLOW light control solution.
The design was inspired by working gaffers and cinematographers. The SNAPBAG AIRGLOW uses unique inflatable technology to make booklight-style lighting simpler. Created to create very soft, indirect lighting, it is suitable for use with fixtures such as the Creamsource Vortex8, Vortex8 Soft, ARRI Skypanel X21 and S60 Classic, and most similarly sized fixtures. .
By installing AIRGLOW, the LED panel changes to provide a larger, ultra-soft light source. Adding AIRGLOW to the panel simplifies setup and can be oriented horizontally or vertically, creating an easily repositionable fixture. It’s lightweight, quick to set up, and eliminates the need for extra stands, allowing for a smaller footprint on busy sets.
The SNAPBAG AIRGLOW inflates quickly and can be easily applied to the front of an LED panel. Installation is as simple as placing the spill-proof cover over the appliance and snapping the buckles on the two adjustable straps. Unlike typical front-facing softboxes, AIRGLOW creates a 45° triangular bounce, with the back wall forming a diagonal angle and pushing light out the vertical sides. The back wall can be replaced with a hard silver diffusion from Ultra Bounce for more powerful lighting. Users also have the option to add SNAPGRID LCD 40°, 1/4°, 1/2°, and Magic Cloth diffusions for even greater light directionality.
The inflatable AIRGLOW frame can be inflated or deflated while attached to the light panel or removed. Can be carried and stored in DoPchoice’s special bag together with the air pump.
SNAPBAG AIRGLOW User testimonials
-
Gaffer Martin Smith ICLS (Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Transformers: The Last Night, 13 Hours)
AIRGLOW is an easy-to-use multi-tool that brings lighting techniques that required reflecting light through a frame, ceiling or polystyrene into one beautiful package. Having attachments that offer so many different options takes us from traditional lighting methods to the best.

Gaffer Uwe Greiner ICLS (Colony, Constellation, Magic Flute)
In my view, AIRGLOW is ideal for producing book light even in the narrowest of spaces. Because it is compact, it also works as a lamp with excellent light quality.

Cinematographer Brendan McGinty (Uncanny, The Devil on Trial, Welcome to Earth)
This unit could be pushed in the wheel to dim for close-ups, then back up to dim for wide without the teaming and reset time required with traditional book lights. One technician can be quickly redeployed.
