SmallRig announced the release of a new heavy duty tripod, the AD-01S.
The Heavy Duty Tripod AD-01S is SmallRig’s latest tripod for video shooting. The legs use a lever-type locking mechanism, allowing for quick extension and retraction with one action. The height ranges from 84cm to 187cm, and the storage length is 88cm.
The tripod features a “snap-on” quick release plate mount design and is compatible with DJI RS2 and Manfrotto standard quick release plates, allowing you to freely switch between stabilized and tripod shooting.
The head has a load capacity of 6kg and features an infinitely adjustable tilt and pan damping system for smooth camera movements, as well as a counterbalance (fixing) mechanism that can support up to 4kg.
The SmallRig AD-01S comes equipped with two 1/4″-20 anti-flex screw holes, making it convenient for mounting accessories such as magic arms. The pan handle can be mounted on either side, making it suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users. The retractable steel spike allows for flexible use on various terrains.
