Avid at IBC 2025 announced the Pro Tools 2025.6 update. The company says is a major leap forward for music and audio post-production workflows. With groundbreaking Splice integration, MIDI improvements, AI-powered Speech-to-Text, an expanded ARA ecosystem for streamlining vocal production, tighter integrated ADR and reconform workflows, and a new in-app dashboard, Avid says it is setting a new standard for how professionals and aspiring creators create, edit, and deliver audio content for music, film, TV, and streaming.
Pro Tools 2025.6 Update Features
Empowering a new generation of music creators
At the core of the Pro Tools 2025.6 release is Avid’s deep commitment to giving music producers and artists the intuitive, powerful tools and easy-to-use dashboard they need to get started making music.
Splice, the world’s largest royalty-free sample library, extends Pro Tools’ capabilities to leverage nearly any sound musicians and production teams need. Splice is built directly into Pro Tools, putting millions of loops, FX and one-shots at music creators’ fingertips. Users can discover, audition and capture high-quality sounds without ever leaving Pro Tools.

Creators can drag audio clips from the Pro Tools timeline directly into Splice’s AI-powered Search with Sound panel to match samples by rhythm, key and tempo. Users can also preview samples and seamlessly drag them back into their sessions. Pro Tools users can access over 2,500 free samples or unlock the full library with a monthly paid subscription.

Comments from Kenna Hilburn

“Whether producers and artists are sketching ideas, building tracks, or applying final polish, the Splice integration in Pro Tools provides a more powerful environment for music creation,” said Hilburn .
“We’re thrilled to be working with Splice to bring our content to the masses,” said Kenny Ochoa, SVP of Content at Splice.

Eliminate the hassle of searching for dialogue or vocal takes
Pro Tools 2025.6 introduces a Speech-to-Text AI engine that speeds up dialogue and music editing for audio post professionals and music producers. A dedicated transcript window lets you search for voice and lyric information in any audio file in your session, displayed as text directly in the context of the related clip, for faster navigation and to find specific vocal takes.
