PTZ Camera X1/X1 Ultra

At the NAB Show2024, BirdDog announced the “BirdDog X1/X1 Ultra,” a new PTZ camera which will revolutionize content production. The X1/X1 Ultra is a product that offers smooth operation that establishes the industry standard and overwhelming high image quality. Equipped with the PTZ camera light indicator “Halo Tally” and AI tracking function, the “X1” and “X1 Ultra” are designed to realize more attractive live video production.

The X1/X1 Ultra incorporates cutting edge technology, such as seamless connectivity with NDI|HX3 and Wi-Fi, and is the industry’s first PTZ camera with an E-Ink display, so all the information you need is displayed vividly even when the camera is turned off.

In addition, the X1/X1 Ultra processes/decodes multiple NDI|HX streams (NDI|HX2 and NDI|HX3) simultaneously. No more guesswork with feedback monitors or relying on a teleprompter output directly from the camera. The X1/X1 Ultra unleashes creativity, innovates and gives the flexibility to deliver impressive performances.

MAKI Ultra Box camera

The MAKI Ultra is a groundbreaking NDI | HX3 camera that combines compactness with high-performance specifications. With ultra-fast autofocus and specifications capable of shooting in 4K60p, the MAKI Ultra is a powerful camera that can capture any moment with precision.

The camera features intuitive physical buttons on the side, allowing you to focus on your creativity without having to worry about technical requirements. Additionally, the MAKI Ultra is equipped with BirdDog’s HALO Tally system, making it easy to see which cameras are on air at any time.

The MAKI Ultra is available in two models: one with 12x zoom and one with 20x zoom.

BirdDog Cloud 10.1

BirdDog Cloud 10 is a globally connected, next-generation, cutting-edge media platform that makes it extremely fast and easy to distribute content beyond your local network to anywhere in the world.

BirdDog’s new Adobe and AVID plugins allow Adobe Creative Cloud and AVID Media Composer users to connect directly to the BirdDog Cloud Connect app on their iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android Mobile and Android TV without ever having to leave the Adobe/AVID interface.

• BirdDog Endpoint Routing:
  • Now you can route sources to remote BirdDog decoders directly from the Cloud Console.
  • Simply select an NDI source in a different location in the Endpoint Settings screen in the Cloud Console and the source will be routed to the decoder in the selected remote location.
• BirdDog Router Feature
  • BirdDog Cloud 10.1 adds a new BirdDog NDI Router feature.
  • BirdDog NDI Router automatically scans for NDI sources and BirdDog decoders on the network.
  • It then routes NDI sources to BirdDog decoders and plays NDI streams with an intuitive routing matrix.
    • While operating this routing matrix, a direct link is also provided for quick access to BirdDog’s user interface (BirdUI). User-created router outputs can be used with other NDI-enabled software or hardware decoders.
  • Router settings can also be saved and recalled when needed. Multiple routers can be managed through the BirdDog Cloud Console and shared in multiple locations. Sources and destinations can be quickly filtered to control specific sources and destinations.

BirdDog Cloud Connect

BirdDog Cloud Connect is scalable to accommodate any video production anywhere in the world, enabling groundbreaking video workflows. Additionally, BirdDog Cloud Connect can be seamlessly integrated using apps for various platforms, including Apple TV, Android TV, Apple iOS, Android, Windows, and MacOS.

BirdDog Cloud Connect is a solution for location-independent collaboration. With seamless integration with Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer, BirdDog Cloud Connect enables “real-time editing sessions” that are instantly accessible from anywhere in the world.

Not only can you easily switch between full-screen and split-screen views while editing, but you can also use a video conferencing system built into the editor’s timeline to communicate in real time with other collaborators.

BirdDog Converter Products

BirdDog’s NDI converter products are versatile encoder and decoder solutions designed to bridge the gap between various video formats, including 4K and HD.

BirdDog’s reliable and efficient NDI converters support the encoding and decoding of ultra-high resolution content, smoothly transmitting video signals across a wide range of platforms and workflows, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration in digital media production.

Additionally, if you already own a BirdDog converter product with 4K HDMI or SDI support, you can enable the additional channel of NDI with just a software update, allowing up to two channels of 4K60p encoding or decoding, and there are four different operation modes to choose from to suit your requirements.

Central 2.0

The browser-based Central 2.0 is the ultimate NDI management tool, offering not only Single Sign-On (SSO), efficient grouping of NDI receivers, and real-time NDI routing, but also functions as a media playback engine, accommodating thousands of sources.

AND PTZ Control

The NDI PTZ Control iOS app gives you full control over pan, tilt and zoom, with real-time joystick control and the ability to save and recall PTZ camera positions as presets.

In addition, the NDI PTZ Control app is equipped with a display monitor that allows you to check the video from the PTZ camera in full screen, making it easy to check and monitor sources such as full NDI, NDI HX2, and NDI HX3 on the network.

API 2.0

  BirdDog’s API integrates the company’s best-in-class cameras, converters and software products into Crestron Electronics’ innovative ecosystem of Crestron cameras, making it easy to mix and match different equipment and software.
• This update from QSC enables BirdDog’s camera and converter product line to be integrated with QSC’s Q-SYS, an integrated audio, video and control system platform. Leveraging the power of the industry-leading BirdDog API, Q-SYS enables smoother video workflows. The Q-SYS UCI Viewer interface provides highly accurate updates and data with superior performance.

Fleet Manager

BirdDog Fleet Manager simplifies the task of managing, monitoring and updating BirdDog products. All BirdDog devices automatically appear within Fleet Manager with all relevant device information. This is including status, IP address, subnet, device name, stream name, serial number, firmware version and MCU version for PTZ cameras.

With the new firmware, Fleet Manager will display alerts and allows updates to the firmware for each BirdDog device from within the Fleet Manager interface.
