Canon USA has announced the RF35mm F1.4 L VCM, the first in a series of hybrid lenses that allow manual iris control when shooting video. The lens is designed to be ideal for video and still users with cameras like the EOS R5 and EOS C70. Price listed from the Canon Website linked here is $1,499.
The RF35mm F1.4 L VCM is equipped with a manual aperture ring to support control when shooting video, and there is almost no breathing even when moving the focus.
Equipped with the excellent optical design of the L-series familiar to many professionals, it is compatible with Canon’s newly announced EOS C400 cinematic camera, further strengthening Canon’s comprehensive support for the imaging market.
