DJI released the DJI Mic 3, an ultra-lightweight wireless microphone that offers powerful performance and versatility. The lineup and suggested retail prices are as follows:
Building on the technology of the existing DJI Mic series, the Mic 3 supports connections to up to four transmitters and eight receivers, and is the first Mic series model to support adaptive gain control, which automatically prevents clipping and dynamically adjusts volume balance, as well as three audio tone presets and two levels of noise cancellation.
In addition, it has built-in 32GB of storage and is the first DJI microphone to support dual-file internal recording with 32-bit float recording.

DJI Mic 3 Features and Details
Lightweight, versatile and ready to use
The new DJI Mic 3 transmitter is compact and discreet, weighing just 16 grams. The microphone clip can be detached from the microphone, allowing you to mount the microphone in any orientation, ensuring optimal audio capture no matter how you attach it. It supports both magnetic and clip attachment. The DJI Mic 3 windscreen is available in five colors, allowing you to choose one that matches your clothing and environment.

The Mic 3 is highly portable, allowing you to take it to various shooting locations while charging on the go. The all-in-one charging case neatly stores two transmitters and one receiver. The transmitters can be stored without removing the windscreen or magnetic clip. There’s also space for a magnet and locking cable.

Level up your high-quality audio experience
Designed to give content creators unprecedented levels of control and creativity, the Mic 3 is packed with smart features that allow for dynamic, high-quality audio capture, including the first DJI microphone with two adaptive gain control modes.
In outdoor environments where volume changes dramatically, such as at sporting events, Auto mode reduces sudden volume spikes and prevents clipping, while Dynamic mode automatically adjusts gain in response to volume changes to ensure consistent volume in quiet indoor environments, such as studios.

Mic 3 is also the first DJI microphone to feature three voice tone presets: Regular, Rich, and Bright. Ideal for interviews with multiple people with different vocal characteristics, this feature allows you to adjust the tone of your voice, boosting the bass to reduce muddiness or the treble to improve clarity.

Additionally, two-stage active noise cancellation reduces background noise such as air conditioning, providing crisp, clear audio. Attaching a windscreen further reduces wind noise.
Lossless audio allows the transmitter to send uncompressed 48kHz 24-bit audio directly to the receiver, capturing every detail of the original sound source with incredible fidelity.
Collaborative flexibility, versatility and stability
Mic 3 can connect to up to four transmitters and eight receivers at a time (additional transmitters and receivers sold separately), ensuring clear audio across most devices whether you’re doing a group interview or a multi-camera shoot, easing post production.

When configured in Quadraphonic mode, the DJI Mic 3 receiver supports four independent audio track outputs when paired with compatible Sony cameras and computer software, allowing for precise track separation and flexible mixing, providing greater creative freedom in post-production.
In complex and vast environments such as exhibitions and sporting events, Mic 3 offers an incredible 400-meter transmission range and strong interference resistance,1 and automatic frequency hopping between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands ensures robust transmission.
Dual file 32-bit float internal recording and timecode for smoother post-editing
Support for internal recording protects your material from radio interference and device issues, so you never have to worry about losing audio. Mic 3’s dual-file internal recording saves both the original track and an algorithmically enhanced version.

This allows for greater production flexibility and a smoother post-production process. Mic 3 supports two internal recording specifications, 24-bit and 32-bit float, which provides a dynamic range that can better adapt to complex sound environments and capture every nuance of speech, from a whisper to a shout.
The transmitter supports a high-precision timecode function that embeds timecode data during internal recording. The timecode is accurate to within one frame over a 24-hour period1, enabling accurate synchronization between multiple cameras and making it easier to synchronize footage in post-production.
Full-day support for filming
A fully charged Mic 3 transmitter lasts up to 8 hours, and the receiver lasts up to 10 hours. The charging case provides 2.4 full charges for up to 28 hours of use. A quick 5-minute charge gives the DJI Mic 3 2 hours of power, and a full charge takes just 50 minutes.
The Mic 3 also features several power-saving features to prevent the need for recharging. For example, an auto-power-saving feature puts the receiver and transmitter into sleep mode when they’re not in use, and an auto-power-off feature powers them down after a certain period of inactivity.
Simple and easy connectivity options within and outside the DJI ecosystem
With a direct connection to the DJI OsmoAudio ecosystem, DJI Mic 3 pairs with Osmo 360, Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Action 4, or Osmo Pocket 3 without a receiver, enabling high-quality recording with minimal equipment requirements, simplifying production workflows.
For connecting to devices other than those mentioned above, the Mic 3 features a locking 3.5mm TRS output port, a 3.5mm TRRS monitoring port, and a USB-C port. It can also connect directly to a smartphone via Bluetooth without a receiver.
