NANLUX Evoke 150C – Compact, lightweight and powerful

Lighting on location can be challenging. Traditional lighting fixtures are large and heavy, making them difficult to set up and move around in tight spaces. The Evoke 150C solves this challenge by weighing just 2.65kg (including lamp head and yoke) and measuring 209 x 147 x 127mm, yet delivering an impressive illuminance of 22,230 lux at 1m (5600K, with a 45° reflector) and 10,200 lux at 1m (green, with a 45° reflector). What’s more, it consumes only 150W of power. This means it can be used not only as a fill light for large scenes, but also as a key or rim light in tight spaces.

Redefining light quality

Powered by the advanced Nebula C8 light engine, the NANLUX Evoke 150C delivers exceptional light quality in both white and colored light. Eight colors (deep red, red, amber, lime, green, cyan, blue, and indigo) and advanced blending algorithms enable an ultra-wide CCT range from 1,000K to 20,000K, the widest range currently available. Furthermore, significant green/magenta adjustment of ±200, wider color gamut coverage, and high color saturation deliver rich, expressive colors.

Compared to traditional color engines, the Nebula C8 delivers superior fidelity and skin tone reproduction in white light, bringing natural vividness and realistic texture to images. It delivers professional performance, achieving an average score of CRI 96, TLCI 97, TM-30 Rf 96, and TM-30 Rg 100.

The Evoke 150C offers six built-in lighting modes, including CCT, HSI, RGBW, XY coordinate, Gel, and Effect modes, and features a fully linear dimming system that supports adjustment in 0.1% increments, ensuring smooth performance at low brightness and natural fade-in and fade-out.

All-in-one design for quick and easy setup

NANLUX designed the Evoke 150C as a quick and easy to set up light. Efficiency is built into every aspect of the design, from the construction and materials to the interfaces and accessory ecosystem. The lamp head, control unit, and power supply are integrated into a compact, one-piece body, and it runs solely on a power cable or V-mount batteries via D-Tap. Crafted with a lightweight magnesium alloy and optimized internal structure, the Evoke 150C is said to be more compact than many comparable lights. Its IP66 rating ensures reliable performance even in harsh environments, including dust, sand, and heavy rain.

Advanced FE Mount for Modifier Control

The NANLUX Evoke 150C features an FE mount with electronic contacts that can accommodate modifiers, including the new motorized yoke and Fresnel lens (FL-12E) option, enabling precise remote control of fixtures installed in high or hard-to-reach locations.

The Evoke 150C also maintains compatibility with the FM Mount ecosystem, allowing for the use of existing accessories. For fixed installations, a 5/8″ baby pin and quick release plate (AS-BP-QRS) is included in the kit, which can be attached directly to the quick release base of a lighting fixture, enabling fast and flexible setup anywhere on set.

Comprehensive Connectivity and Control

Despite its compact size, the Evoke 150C offers extensive connectivity options, with dedicated ports allowing for control, signal routing and powered accessory connectivity, providing the same advanced control capabilities as the larger Evoke series.

Power options are similarly flexible, with a built-in AC/DC input allowing direct connection to a wall outlet (AC 100–240V) or battery (DC 14.4–28V), while the USB-C port supports PD3.0 input (12–28V, 60W and above), allowing use with adapters or power banks.

For increased portability, the V-mount battery holder allows you to attach a V-mount battery to the yoke.

The FE mount features NANLUX’s exclusive PosiTight system, ensuring a secure, double-safe connection between the fixture and accessories. The Evoke 150C features a new tilt lock mechanism with angle indicator on the side, simplifying repeated adjustments. The mechanism’s clever offset design extends the tilt range to accommodate larger modifiers.

The NANLUX Evoke 150C comes equipped with three 1/4″-20 anti-twist screw holes on both sides and the top. This allows for flexible attachment of controllers and adapters, or improves safety when rigging.

The Evoke 150C control interface shares the same intuitive design as other Evoke series products. It features a 2.0-inch display, two adjustment knobs, and three mode buttons. It supports a variety of control options, including Nanlink App 2.0, DMX/RDM, LumenRadio CRMX, Art-Net/sACN, remote controllers, and wired controllers. The built-in NFC tag allows for instant pairing with NFC-enabled smartphones and tablets running the app.

Reliable Cooling System

The Evoke 150C features an efficient cooling system with five fan modes. In smart mode, the average noise level is just 24dB(A). The light is extremely quiet even when running at full power for long periods of time.
