CIS Corporation has begun accepting orders for the VCC-4K5 4K camera, which uses a 1/1.8-inch rolling shutter CMOS image sensor.
The CIS VCC-4K5 is a 4K camera that uses Sony’s 1/1.8 type CMOS sensor “STARVIS2 IMX678.” High-speed image transmission of up to 4K/60p is possible with 12G-SDI x 1ch output. In addition, CIS’s original camera signal processing algorithm, known as “Clairvu,” built into the camera is said to be able to faithfully express the original color of the subject, despite the small form factor.
The VCC-4K5 has a significantly smaller volume than previous compact 4K camera models developed by the company. It has a small size of 29 x 29 x 77 mm, is lightweight, has low power consumption, and is even more convenient.
In addition, CIS also provides color correction, knee change, BT.2100 (HLG) compliant gamma curve support, BT.709/BT2020 support, NR, LTC, GenLock, GenLock Offset, OSD, etc. for various broadcasting and shooting applications, E-Sports relay systems, et cetera. It is equipped with functions suitable for a variety of uses, including remote control, endoscopes, surgical field cameras, monitoring, and vehicle mounting.
For users who want to incorporate the camera tech into their own case or container, CIS also has a simple camera type “DCC-4K5” available.
