Vintage Lenses in a Modern Body

The V+ coating on the lens smooths out skin tones and gives the image a calm, soft atmosphere and texture. This coating also produces a special rainbow flare (Duhlens Rainbow Flare), which gives the image a unique flavor and artistic effect. This flare can be suppressed by narrowing the aperture by one or two stops.

Excellent imaging performance

The APO design suppresses chromatic aberration even at full aperture, realizing natural depiction. It provides soft bokeh and rich expressiveness while capturing the subject’s outline sharply. In addition, the color tone of the image is consistent across the series, reducing the time required for post-production and adjusting settings after changing lenses.

Many accessories available

By standardizing the lens barrel specifications across the series, such as the position and size of the focus and aperture rings, the effort required to adjust accessories when changing lenses has been reduced. With a filter diameter of 72mm and an outer diameter of 80mm at the tip, many commercially available filters and matte boxes can be used. The compact design, weighing approximately 500 to 620g, is easy to carry and handle, and can be easily used in conjunction with photography equipment such as drones and stabilizers.

Standardized telescope barrel specifications

By making the lens barrel specifications common across the series, such as the position and size of the focus ring and aperture ring, there is no longer a need for major adjustments to lens accessories and camera stabilizers when changing lenses.
