DJI Power 1000/500 portable power supply released

DJI has released the DJI Power 1000 and DJI Power 500 portable power bank.

The two portable power stations, built on more than 10 years of battery research and development, can be fully charged in just 70 minutes, support fast charging of DJI drone batteries, and meet the charging needs even of general home appliances.

These users need a reliable power source that can charge quickly and provide stable power. Today, we are pleased to introduce the DJI Portable Power Station, which can meet these needs,” said Zhang.

The DJI Power 1000 has a battery capacity of 1024Wh and weighs 13kg, while the DJI Power 500 has a battery capacity of 512Wh and weighs 7.3kg, with a maximum output power of 2000 W and 1000 W, respectively. Both can be fully charged in 70 minutes, and if one is in a hurry, they can charge the battery to 80% in just 50 minutes.

Drone Battery Charging in 30 minutes

With the optional charging cable, the DJI Power SDC Super Fast Charging feature can quickly charge certain DJI drone batteries. The charge goes from 10% to 95% in about 30 minutes. With three drone batteries and one DJI Power portable power station, creators can fly and shoot all day without having to worry about production being interrupted by running out of power.

When charging using a household power source, the fastest charging time for both products is 70 minutes for a full charge and 50 minutes for 80% battery remaining.

Safety First

Safety is the first priority when it comes to the design of the drone, from the structure of the drone body to the materials used in the battery cells and even the system software. The DJI Power 1000/500 has received 26 types of product testing certification from SGS, a third-party certification agency based in Switzerland. In addition, the intelligent battery management system is equipped with LFP batteries that support up to 3,000 charging cycles, a 10-year battery life, temperature sensors, fuses, and the use of high-strength materials with flame retardancy, making it safe to use.

When purchased from the DJI Store, the portable power station comes with a 3-year warranty, which can be extended by an additional 2 years upon registration.

Power Outage Backup Power

When electrical appliances are connected to a powered-on DJI Power 1000/500 via the AC output port and both are powered, the DJI Power 1000/500 will enter UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) mode by default, which means that even if a sudden power outage occurs, the DJI Power 1000/500 can start supplying power to connected devices within 0.02 seconds.

Quiet and Functional

Even when charging, the Power 1000 has a noise level of 23 dB1, which is quieter than most home refrigerators, making it unobtrusive even in low-noise environments.

Both devices support fast charging protocols (Power 1000: PD 3.1, Power 500: PD 3.0) for efficient output. The Power 500’s two 100W bi-directional USB-C ports can power two different devices, such as a camera, smartphone, or laptop. For those who need more power, the Power 1000’s two 140W USB-C output ports can be used to fast charge powerful computers from major brands.
