New from IBC2024
Tokina Cinema has announced its latest Vista lens for full-frame sensors: the Cinema Vista 100mm T2.9 Macro. The lens is a 1:1 macro lens with excellent performance. It is ideal for capturing intricate details in close-up shots of people and objects, with a minimum focusing distance of 30cm. With a wide 46.7mm angle of view, it easily covers full-frame and VistaVision sensors, as well as larger sensors. Designed for the most discerning directors of photography, the lens has excellent image performance that exceeds the resolution of current sensors, ensuring its usefulness even as camera sensors improve.
The macro lens feature of the Cinema Vista 100mm T2.9 Macro frees photographers from the limitations of using close-up diopters on traditional telephoto lenses. There’s no need to worry about unwanted edge fall-off or the time lost changing diopter values when changing positions. Instead, it delivers impressive flat-field images, maintaining clarity and precision across the entire frame. It also features a fast T2.9 T-stop, minimizes lens breathing, and a 9-blade iris for smoother bokeh.
Tokina Cinema has been a master of macro lenses for many years, with the original Tokina Cinema AT-X 100mm T2.9 Macro being used extensively in many film productions, and the new Cinema Vista 100mm T2.9 Macro lens is beautifully designed and constructed, proving that it is made by a great Japanese lens manufacturer.
Like other Tokina Vista lenses, it features an interchangeable lens mount with PL, Canon EF, Sony E or MFT mount options.
Pricing and availability of the Cinema Vista 100mm T2.9 Macro will be announced soon.
