TILTA JAPAN Co., Ltd. has started accepting pre-orders for the camera cage for the cinema camera “Blackmagic PYXIS 6K”. Shipments are scheduled to start from late December 2024. The lineup and suggested retail prices are as follows:
- Full Camera Cage for Blackmagic PYXIS 6K : 22,599 yen (tax included)
- Blackmagic PYXIS 6K Pro Kit V-Mount : 72,599 yen (tax included)
- Blackmagic PYXIS 6K Base Kit Camera Cage : 34,799 yen (tax included)
Product Features
The camera cage, designed exclusively for Blackmagic PYXIS, consists of five parts: a top plate, a bottom plate, and a side plate (including left and right side arms). Each part can be used separately, and it is highly compatible with genuine accessories, further expanding the flexibility of shooting.
It is easy to switch between horizontal and vertical setups, and in horizontal mode, by using the separately sold LWS base plate (ESR-T08-BSP), the optical center can be used at a standard height of 85 mm from the center of the LWS rod.
In vertical mode, the side plate acts as a bottom plate, providing ample space between the rods and the lens when combined with the LWS Base Plate (ESR-T08-BSP) sold separately.
The side plate has space for an external SSD (52mm-60mm wide and up to 12mm thick) and features 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads for attaching numerous accessories, including a smartphone clamp for live streaming or uploading to Blackmagic Cloud.
The top and bottom plates are designed to avoid the camera’s heat vents, making it safe to use even during long periods of shooting.
