Panasonic announced the upcoming release of the LUMIX G99II mirrorless camera. (Product code DC-G99M2). This camera, compatible with the Micro Four Thirds mount, releases on February 20, 2025. The suggested retail price is estimated to be 99,000 Yen in Japan, a low price point for a Panasonic Lumix Camera.. The estimated market price is as follows in Japan:

The LUMIX G99II is equipped with a low-pass filter-less 20.3 megapixel CMOS sensor and a Venus Engine, which achieves high image quality. It also comes equipped with a 5-axis, 5-stage BIS and Dual IS 2, which provides powerful image stabilization even at the telephoto range, allowing users to enjoy high-image-quality shooting with reduced camera shake.
The top of the camera body is equipped with three buttons for white balance, ISO sensitivity, and exposure compensation, and the 3.0-inch, 1.84 million-dot free-angle monitor improves operability when shooting. It supports high-speed AF of approximately 0.07 seconds and high-speed continuous shooting of approximately 9 frames per second, allowing you to capture fast-moving subjects. The camera body is dust-proof and splash-proof, making it suitable for a wide range of shooting scenes.
The “Live View Composite” function allows you to record beautiful light trails when shooting stars or night scenes while checking the finished result on the monitor. For video recording, it supports internal recording of 4K30P video with unlimited time (temperature limit applies) and external output of 4K30P 4:2:2 8bit video via HDMI. V-Log L is also pre-installed, expanding the scope of video editing.
Slow and Quick Mode
The newly added Slow & Quick mode can be quickly accessed from the mode dial, and you can easily set the camera to record slow-motion video at about 1/4 times the normal speed, or quick-motion video at about 8 times the normal speed, for sharper video recording. You can record impressive, cinematic footage of your daily life or travels. It supports the versatile USB Type-C, so you can charge it from a mobile battery when you’re out and about or when you’re traveling between shoots.
