Zhongyi Optics announced the release of the SPEEDMASTER 80mm F1.6 lens. The Zhongyi Optics SPEEDMASTER 80mm F1.6 is a large-aperture prime lens compatible with medium format. With a maximum aperture of F1.6, it enables shooting with reduced noise and blur even in situations where a high-speed shutter is required or in low-light environments such as at night or indoors, and produces soft, natural bokeh that makes the subject stand out.
Compatible mounts are the Fujifilm GFX and the Hasselblad medium-format mounts.
The lens configuration of 10 elements in 6 groups, including one ED lens and three ultra-high refractive index lenses, effectively suppresses chromatic aberration while preventing the lens from becoming larger. With excellent depiction from the center to the edges of the screen, the high image quality is achieved as if the scenery was cut out as it is seen.
The focal length of this lens is equivalent to approximately 63mm in 35mm format, which is between standard and medium telephoto, making it easy to handle for everyday photography as well as portrait photography, and is useful in a variety of scenes. In addition, the minimum shooting distance of 0.5m allows you to get close to the subject.
The lens barrel is made of durable metal, giving it a high sense of rigidity and a moderate sense of solidity. The included lens hood is also made of metal, preventing unwanted light from entering and protecting your precious lens from scratches and dirt.
