Tiffen announced a new line of “Fusion Filters” that combine their proprietary diffusion effect with a variable ND or polarizing filter. The lineup includes:
Tiffen Fusion VND
- Black Pro Mist + VND (light reduction 1/4 or 1)
- Glimmerglass + VND (light reduction 1/4 or 1)
Tiffen Fusion POL
- Glimmerglass + CPL (light reduction 1/4 or 1)
- Black Pro Mist + CPL (light reduction 1/4 or 1)
The Fusion filters offer the ability to combine the soft beauty and highlight control of Black Pro Mist, or the subtle appeal and contrast suppression of Glimmer Glass with a VND filter (Variable ND filter) or a CPL filter (Circular Polarizing filter).
Stack filters for a cinematic look, allowing users to achieve deeper, more vibrant colors and a more nuanced look with a single screw-in filter.
The four new Fusion filters are each available in two power levels and multiple sizes: Black Pro Mist + VND (variable ND filter, ¼ or 1 light reduction) and Glimmerglass + VND (variable ND filter, ½ or 2 light reduction) are both available in 58mm, 67mm, 77mm, and 82mm sizes.
The Black Pro Mist + CPL (circular polarizing filter, ¼ or 1 light reduction) and Glimmerglass + CPL (circular polarizing filter, ½ or 2 light reduction) are available in 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, and 82mm sizes. All Fusion filters are compatible with step-up/step-down rings. Other sizes may be available upon request.
