Nextorage Corporation announced the release of the NX-P2MG series of portable SSDs that are compatible with MagSafe and can be easily attached to an iPhone. 2TB and 1TB options are available.
The NX-P2MG series is a compact, portable SSD that supports MagSafe and is convenient for shooting videos on an iPhone. With the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max, it supports direct recording of ProRes videos to external storage, enabling long video recording times.
The Nextorage NX-P2MG works with any iPhone that has MagSafe, attaching easily. It also comes with a short USB Type-C cable so that the cable doesn’t get in the way when attaching to the iPhone.
iPhone Compatibility
The Nextorage NX-P2MG has been confirmed to work with iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max, and can directly save 4K/60 fps ProRes videos.

It supports USB 10Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen2) and can transfer data at up to 1,050 MB/s read and 1,000 MB/s write speeds. This makes it easy to transfer data when editing captured data on a PC.
Since it is already formatted in exFAT, you can use it as is by simply inserting it into various devices such as iPhones, Windows PCs, and Macs. If the device supports USB 10Gbps, it can transfer large amounts of data in a short time. When editing data taken with an iPhone on a PC, for example, data can be transferred easily and quickly, allowing you to concentrate on editing.
Its compact size of approximately 64.3 x 12.4 x 64 mm fits neatly on the back of the iPhone. It’s a convenient size to carry around when shooting videos on the go with your iPhone, or when using a PC.
A USB Type-C cable that supports USB 40 Gbps is included. When used with other USB 40 Gbps compatible devices, high-speed transfers of 40 Gbps are possible.
