Portkeys released the “LH5P III,” a 5.7-inch on-camera monitor with camera control capabilities. It features a high-brightness display with a maximum brightness of 2,200 nits, a resolution of 2160 x 1080, and wired and wireless camera control functions, all housed in an aluminum alloy body that is 28.4mm thick and weighs 235g.
The LH5P III features a 5.7-inch touchscreen display with a maximum brightness of 2,200 nits. The screen boasts a 1400:1 contrast ratio and a resolution of 2160 x 1080, and the navigation bar can be positioned on either the left or right side of the screen.
Portkeys LH5P III Features

The panel covers 94.9% of the P3-D65 color space and 97.7% of the Rec.709 color space, and supports 10-bit hardware processing. It displays rich color detail and smooth gradations, achieving color reproduction with reduced color banding.
Every LH5P III is individually color-calibrated using Calman tools before leaving the factory. Users can obtain a calibration report from the Portkeys app by entering their monitor’s serial number.

The factory color calibration achieves a DeltaE of ≤ 1.1 in Rec.709 and a DeltaE of ≤ 2.5 in P3. The monitor can also be recalibrated as needed.
The casing is made of aluminum alloy, resulting in a weight of 235g, which is 18% lighter than the previous model. The thickness has also been kept down to 28.4mm.
The HDMI input and output ports are located on the left side of the monitor, and the HDMI input supports video signals up to DCI 4K/60p.
The bottom of the LH5P III features a USB Type-C PD input, a USB Type-A port, a 3.5mm headphone output, and a 1/4-inch screw hole with anti-rotation positioning holes and anti-slip pads. The USB Type-A port can be used for loading LUTs, saving freeze frame images, and firmware updates.
Mount How You See Fit
Featuring a 1/4-inch screw hole on the right side, this allows the monitor to be mounted vertically. When shooting in portrait orientation, the UI also switches to a vertical display.
The rear panel incorporates a Sony NP-F type battery plate. With a maximum power consumption of 13W, it can operate for over two hours even with a small Sony NP-F550 battery. It also supports USB Type-C PD input, allowing power to be supplied from mobile batteries, V-mount batteries, Gold Mount batteries, etc.
The top of the unit features four custom function buttons, a power and UI lock switch, and a menu button with a navigation wheel.

The LH5P III runs on Portkeys’ “MOVNORM OS,” allowing users to switch between landscape and portrait orientations for their UI.
The monitor is equipped with various monitoring tools, including the following:
- Features 17x17x17 3D LUT monitoring and 3D LUT HDMI output. Up to 20 custom LUTs can be loaded via the USB Type-A port on the bottom of the monitor.
- Anamorphic Desqueeze: Supports standard aspect ratios such as 1.33x, 1.5x, 1.8x, and 2.0x, as well as custom aspect ratios from 0.25x to 4.0x.
- Log Stops: Portkeys’ proprietary monitoring tool that verifies exposure based on the camera’s actual stop data. It analyzes the camera’s Log video output and maps it to a profile provided for each compatible camera.
- Focus Tools: Includes features such as peaking and gesture zoom.
- Image analysis and exposure tools: Includes RGB and luminance waveforms, luminance histogram, zebra stripe, ARRI False Color, customizable false color, and more.
- Image overlay and image capture
- Framing tools: Crosshair, check field, guides, grid, rectangular crop
- Audio Meter
- Monitor adjustments: Backlight, contrast, color temperature, sharpness, saturation, brightness, hue, HDR/HLG, horizontal/vertical image inversion.
The LH5P III features Portkeys’ wired and wireless camera control capabilities. This allows users to control various camera settings from the monitor when using compatible cameras.
You can adjust various camera parameters such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and white balance directly from the Portkeys monitor. The available control functions vary depending on the camera manufacturer, model, and connection method.

Camera Controls with the Portkeys LH5P III
Camera control supports compatible models from Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Nikon, Blackmagic Design, and others. Compatible models and available control functions vary depending on the camera and connection method.
Additionally, compatible cameras offer touch focus frames and touch focus tracking features. With touch focus tracking, you can specify the focus target on the monitor and use the focus control of the compatible camera to track the subject.

A 30cm 2-in-1 video and camera control cable is included for wired camera control. It features HDMI and USB Type-C connectors on the camera side and an HDMI connector on the monitor side, combining video transmission and camera control into a single cable.
Furthermore, it supports one-to-many coordinated control systems. The LH5P III can be used as an active controller to control up to four additional Portkeys monitors with a communication range of up to 50m. Compatible additional monitors are the LS7P, BM7II DS, LH7P, BM5IV WR, and LH5P III.
Each connected monitor can control its respective paired camera via a wireless Wi-Fi connection or a wired connection up to 7 meters.
The LH5P III comes with a USB drive, a 30cm video and camera control cable, an HDMI-to-micro-HDMI adapter, and a 2.4GHz foldable antenna. It is shipped in a safety box.
