At the heart of the Sigma FP2 is an advanced full-frame sensor that captures images with exceptional resolution, detail, color depth, and delicate tonal expression. Its uncompromising performance enables free expression in capturing any scene or subject, regardless of shooting conditions.

Color modes that enable free photographic expression

Thirteen color modes, selectable via the dedicated “Color” button, enable intuitive and free expression. A variety of preset modes, developed based on Sigma’s unique color science, allow you to shape the tone of your work, capture the atmosphere of the scene, and bring out the charm of your photographic expression.

The evolution of the fp series

The Sigma FP2 inherits the innovative concept and unique personality of the original fp. At the same time, it has undergone a true evolution, re-examining and refining every element and function of the camera to create a more intuitive and expressive shooting experience.

Tiltable LCD screen that broadens your perspective.

While maintaining its compact body, it features a tiltable LCD screen that can be adjusted 90° upwards and 45° downwards. This expands the photographer’s perspective, from low angles to high angles.

Dedicated external electronic viewfinder that allows you to concentrate on shooting.

A high-resolution, high-brightness electronic viewfinder that easily attaches and detaches from the camera via a single USB-C port provides a deeply immersive shooting experience. The tilt mechanism allows for up to 90° upward movement, comfortably supporting not only eye-level but also waist-level shooting.

24.5-megapixel partially stacked CMOS sensor

The high-performance partially stacked CMOS sensor delivers outstanding image quality, enhanced autofocus performance, and superior dynamic range. High-speed readout performance with significantly reduced rolling shutter distortion enables even faster continuous shooting and high-frame-rate video recording.

Advanced AF performance

The advanced autofocus system, with improved accuracy, speed, and low-light performance, ensures reliable subject tracking and prevents you from missing the decisive moment. In addition to people and animals, the advanced subject recognition function now also supports birds.

High-speed continuous shooting of up to approximately 20 frames per second.

The Sigma FP2 allows for continuous shooting at up to approximately 20 frames per second and up to 200 frames per second in a single shot. This ensures you can reliably capture crucial moments where even a split-second difference can be fatal.

High-capacity battery

While maintaining the compact size that is the identity of the fp series, it achieves approximately 30% better battery life than the original fp. With a large-capacity battery that can capture approximately 370 still images or 130 minutes of video, it enables extended shooting.

70GB built-in storage

In addition to an SD card slot, it features 70GB of built-in storage with high-speed writing capabilities. This ensures seamless recording when the memory card is full and supports comfortable shooting even in situations where additional storage capacity is needed.

With the flick of a switch, it transforms into a professional cinema camera.

The Sigma FP2 is both a still camera and a full-fledged cinema camera. A single dedicated switch on the top of the body allows for instant switching between STILL and CINE modes. Each mode features functions, a user interface, and a workflow perfectly optimized for the creative process. Optimized for your creative workflow and highly customizable, the FP2 combines the mobility and performance of a professional cinema camera—producing cinema-quality images—in an extremely compact and lightweight body.

Compact cinema-dedicated camera

The Sigma FP2, transformable and customizable depending on the setup, is a compact full-frame digital cinema camera that handles a wide range of video production functions. With its compact body, shoot everything from personal vlogs and documentaries to high-end film and TV production.

6K Open Gate Recording

The Sigma FP2 supports 6K open gate recording, which captures all the information from the full-frame sensor without loss. It can be deployed in various formats with different aspect ratios while maintaining high image quality, supporting video production in the multi-platform era.

Designed with a maximum of 14.1 stops of headroom, it enables rich tonal expression even in environments with extreme differences in brightness. It also provides 7 stops of headroom at ISO 1250 and above, increasing the flexibility of color grading in post-production.

Supports 32-bit float recording

For audio, the camera supports 32-bit float recording. This reduces noise at low volumes and distortion at high volumes, enabling recording with a wide dynamic range.

Advanced post-production capabilities

ProRes RAW offers both high editing flexibility and efficient data handling through compression, while Leica’s L-Log allows for direct editing with various grading software, accommodating diverse workflows.

Director’s Viewfinder Function

It features a director’s viewfinder function that can simulate the shooting range of various cinema cameras. In addition to a de-squeeze display mode for use with anamorphic lenses, the Sigma FP2 now supports the latest equipment such as the ARRI ALEXA 35 and Sony VENICE 2 / BURANO. An optional LCD viewfinder, LVF-21, is also available to ensure accurate viewing on the optical axis.

Accessories to enhance expandability

The Sigma FP2’s expandability is ensured by the strap holders on the left and right sides of the body and the tripod screw hole on the bottom. By using a common 1/4-inch size for these screw holes, a variety of genuine and external accessories can be attached. The Sigma FP2 also features newly added dedicated accessories, further expanding its expandability and customization options.

• Electronic Viewfinder EVF-21: An external electronic viewfinder specifically designed for the Sigma FP2. It features a tilt mechanism, an eye sensor, and a large eyecup, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail in enhancing convenience and comfort during shooting. The high-resolution, high-brightness viewfinder, utilizing a 0.5-inch, approximately 5.76 million-dot OLED panel, enhances immersion in the shooting experience.
• Hot shoe unit HU-21: A mountable hot shoe unit. It features a flash communication terminal common to both OM SYSTEM and LUMIX cameras.
• Base Plate BPL-21: A base plate specifically designed for the Sigma FP2. In addition to being used to mount the LVF-21 LCD viewfinder, it can also be used to connect general video shooting accessories using a 3/8-inch screw.
• LCD Viewfinder LVF-21: A viewfinder specifically designed for the Sigma FP2 that attaches to the camera’s LCD monitor to cut out ambient light. It has a built-in diopter correction mechanism from -2 to +1 (dpt). It magnifies the LCD monitor by 2.5x*4, assisting with focus confirmation and composition planning. Thanks to its specially designed high-performance lens and coating, visibility is also excellent.
• Battery Charger BC-91: A charger specifically designed for the BP-91 lithium-ion battery pack included with the camera. It can be charged in approximately 175 minutes using a commercially available USB PD compatible AC adapter.
• DC Connector CN-91: A connector for connecting the main unit to an AC adapter or external power supply.
