Following on from the 4K UHD support for the Ninja Phone, Atomos has also announced that it has achieved Camera to Cloud certification for Adobe’s Frame.io.
The Ninja Phone connects professional cameras and lenses via HDMI to an iPhone 15/16 Pro or Pro Max, or a compatible iPad Pro, and records directly in 10-bit ProRes or H.265 10-bit.
Camera to Cloud with Frame.io is said to be a major enhancement to the Ninja Phone, enabling users to record and upload H.264, H.265 (HEVC), or 10-bit H.265 media files at bitrates up to 70 Mb/s.
Atomos CEO Jeromy Young said:
Young: Simply log into your Frame.io account directly from the app, select your compression settings and start shooting.
Just as intuitive as iOS, we’ve made it so you can post to social media directly from the cloud with the highest image quality. Camera to Cloud saves you time, but with Ninja Phone and Frame.io, you don’t have to sacrifice image quality.
Frame.io is a cloud-based collaboration tool that helps creative teams organize, review, centralize, and manage media throughout the creative process. Adobe will support the certification by offering a free three-month trial of the Frame.io V4 Pro plan with registration for Ninja Phone. The offer is applicable to new Frame.io accounts only.
