Shoten Kobo Co., Ltd. has released ZHONGYI OPTICS’s cinema lens “SPEEDMASTER CINEMA 50mm T1.0 FF”. The suggested retail price is 180,000 yen including tax.
The SPEEDMASTER CINEMA 50mm T1.0 FF is a large-aperture cinema lens compatible with full-frame cameras. There are two types of lens mounts, Canon EF and PL. Adopting an optical design optimized for digital cinema cameras, it achieves excellent contrast and sharpness. It expresses beautiful bokeh with a large aperture specification with an open T value of 1.0 and a 9-blade circular diaphragm. With a shortest shooting distance of 65cm, it is said to create images that were difficult to obtain with conventional lenses.
In addition, the smooth operation of the focus ring enables precise focusing. A long focus throw of 283° rotation angle and two types of scale display make it easy to focus accurately even when the depth of field is extremely shallow. A 114mm lens barrel outer diameter, 105mm filter diameter, and 0.8Mod gear are used to meet industry standards. It is designed to minimize changes in the angle of view from the shortest shooting distance to infinity.
