Apple announced a new Logic Pro update for Mac and iPad that helps power beat creation and production. The Logic Pro 11.2 release is available as a free update from Apple.
This update brings new features such as Stem Splitter and Flashback Capture, which are said to take hip-hop and electronic music production to a new level.
The innovative Stem Splitter feature delivers even better sonic fidelity and lets you separate guitar and piano into stems, Flashback Capture lets you retrieve and restore an amazing performance if you forgot to record it, and energetic new sound packs like Dancefloor Rush give beatmakers new loops and kits to amplify their next track.
Stem Splitter improves audio fidelity and provides new stems
The updated Stem Splitter lets producers extract more detail from old recordings and demos and adds support for guitar and piano stems. Presets let producers easily select variations of common stems, including a cappella, instruments, and vocals & instruments. Plus, a new Submix feature makes it easy to export just the parts of your audio you want, for example removing vocals to create an instrumental track, or isolating the drums and bass for a custom remix.

Relive any moment with Flashback Capture
Flashback Capture allows artists to recapture memorable performances even if they forgot to record them. Users can instantly restore MIDI or audio performances with key commands or custom control bar buttons. Enabling Cycle mode allows musicians to improvise multiple takes and Flashback Capture will automatically organize each pass into a take folder.

Enhance your music productions with new sound packs
Logic Pro adds new sound packs to enhance music production. Dancefloor Rush, the latest sound pack for Mac and iPad, features a world of expertly crafted drum and bass sounds with over 400 dynamic loops, vibrant drum kits and a custom Live Loops grid.
The update also introduces two new sound packs to Logic Pro for Mac: “Magnetic Imperfections” and “Tosin Abasi.” Magnetic Imperfections brings a unique texture that captures the raw, rugged character of analog tape, while the Tosin Abasi sound pack unleashes the allure of progressive metal guitar with boutique amplifiers, unique effects, distinctive picking techniques and the artist’s signature riffs.

Learn MIDI comes to iPad and seamlessly integrates with Logic Pro
Learn MIDI is now available on iPad, putting users in control. Easily assign any knob, fader or button on any MIDI device to control plug-ins, instruments or any other automatable parameter within Logic Pro. Learn MIDI’s intuitive interface and real-time visual feedback allow users to quickly create custom assignments and see what controls are available, keeping them in their creative flow.

Other features that enhance your creativity on Mac
Apple Intelligence writing tools will be built into Notepad, giving users more flexibility and control over their writing when they want to be more expressive, need help rewriting or even collaborate directly on things like song lyrics.
Manage large projects with the new search and selection feature, making it easy to find and select tracks by track name or track number.
