LAOWA announced the release of the world’s first shift function-equipped cine prime lenses compatible with the Vista Vision format, “LAOWA 15mm T4.8 Zero-D Shift Cine” and “LAOWA 20mm T4.1 Zero-D Shift Cine,” as well as various replacement bayonets. The lineup is as follows
- LAOWA 15mm T4.8 Zero-D Shift Cine
- LAOWA 20mm T4.1 Zero-D Shift Cine
The product usually takes about one month from order to delivery.
Zero-D Shift Cine Features
Shift function for precise perspective and composition
The lens works a shift of ±11mm in full frame and ±9mm in Vista Vision format. When shooting architecture or indoor spaces, it corrects convergence lines and tilts, enabling straight, natural image expression without distortion. Since it can be adjusted at the time of shooting, rather than correcting or trimming in post-production, it allows for efficient production without compromising image quality.

Image circle compatible with large sensors
The lens has an image circle of φ65.2mm and is compatible with the large sensors that are mainstream in the cinematography market, such as the RED V-Raptor 8K Vista Vision 17:9 (φ46.31mm), Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65 (φ65mm), and Arri Alexa 65 (φ59.86mm).
“Zero-D” design reduces distortion
Both models use LAOWA’s “Zero-D” technology, which minimizes distortion that is unique to wide-angle lenses. Even when shooting normally without using the shift function, natural straight lines can be expressed.

Also suitable for close-up photography
The minimum shooting distance is 20cm for the 15mm model and 25cm for the 20mm model, making both lenses capable of close-up shooting. The lens is highly versatile and can be used for everything from close-ups with beautiful bokeh thanks to a shallow depth of field to wide-angle scenes.

Suppression of chromatic aberration
The design suppresses various aberrations, achieving consistent sharpness from the center to the periphery. Chromatic aberration in contrast areas is also minimized even to the periphery, resulting in clearer, sharper images.
Interchangeable bayonets (sold separately) compatible with a variety of cameras
By using optional replacement bayonets (Sony E, Canon EF, Nikon Z, Canon RF, L mount), it can be used with a wide range of camera systems.

Main uses of this lens
Perspective Control
Even when shooting high-rise buildings, the shift function allows you to capture images accurately and straight, achieving a composition without tilt.

Avoiding reflections
When shooting through a mirror or glass, shifting the lens to the right or left to shift the optical axis can prevent the camera from being reflected and produce a clean image.
