Thypoch announced the launch of the Simera 28mm F1.4 and Simera 35mm F1.4 type II focus tab versions. Both products feature a crescent-shaped focus tab, improving the operational experience.
The new versions of the Simera series, which are compatible with Leica M, Nikon Z, Fujifilm X, and Canon RF mounts, replace the infinity locking mechanism with an ergonomic focus tab, allowing for smooth, one-finger focusing.

The Simera series is one of the few M-mount lenses designed with a floating group that ensures the same performance from infinity to close-up focus, and with the focus tab, the whole lens mirrors the latest Leica Summilux 28mm and 35mm lenses, ensuring precise control and optical quality.

Upgrading from infinity lock?
Thypoch does not recommend converting from the infinity lock version to the focus tab version. The conversion process requires disassembling and realigning more than four internal parts, which may damage the optical performance and mechanical stability of the lens. Therefore, Thypoch does not provide conversion services for such reasons.
The type II focus tab versions of the Simera 28mm F1.4 and Simera 35mm F1.4 are available for immediate shipping upon order acceptance. More details here .
