Hasselblad will release a lightweight wide-angle “Hasselblad XCD 4/28P” lens in mid-September 2023. The suggested retail price is $1,679. The Hasselblad XCD 4/28P is a wide-angle lens with a focal length equivalent to 22mm in the 35mm format. The lens also has an aperture of F4.0. A wide range of scenes such as nature, streets, and urban architecture can be easily captured. With a length of 43.5mm and a weight of 245g, the XCD 4/28P is the lightest and smallest lens in the Hasselblad X system.

The XCD 4/28P employs an optical configuration of 9 elements in 8 groups, including 2 aspherical lenses and 1 ED lens, enabling excellent rendering while effectively suppressing chromatic dispersion. Through thoughtful placement, the lens has a compact size and high performance, meeting the resolution requirement of 100 million pixels. With high-definition and high-resolution, the screen also has high image quality.

About the Hasselblad XCD 4/28P

The metal lens features a focus ring engraved with Hasselblad’s “H” pattern, mirroring the design of the XCD series lenses and continuing Hasselblad’s ongoing dedication to detail and craftsmanship. With a minimum focusing distance of 22cm and a magnification of 1:6, this lens is great for snapping photos of flowers and food.

Together with the X2D 100C’s PDAF technology, the focusing lens group can quickly reach the in-focus position and stop precisely. The result is fast, accurate and responsive focusing.
