SLIK announced the release of a line of three new lightweight yet durable carbon tripods. The Slik Light Carbon E8 model line is the E83 II, E84 II, and E84H II.
The estimated retail price is approximately $405 for “Slik Light Carbon E83 II.” The “Slik Light Carbon E84 II” is estimated at $415. Finally, the “Slik Light Carbon E84H II” is estimated at $465.

Slik Light Carbon E83 II
The “Light Carbon E83” basic carbon tripod has been renewed with the adoption of a Haraichi lock-type leg opening mechanism. It will be released as a medium-sized 3-stage “Light Carbon E83 II” with a pipe diameter of 28mm. The Haraichi lock-type leg opening mechanism allows users to open the legs by pressing a button, and can be operated with light force, improving operability.
Additionally, it is equipped with a water bubble level, and U3/8 accessory screw hole on the main body. The leg pipes are new LCII carbon pipes that prevent slipping and are affordable. The head is a 2-handle, 3-way “SH-706 head2 (dedicated head). The camera is securely attached and detached using a double nut type. Furthermore, the bottom of the elevator is equipped with a screw that allows users to attach a pan head or a hook (sold separately). It weighs less than 2kg including the pan head. It will be released as the 4-stage “Light Carbon E84H II,” a medium-sized long type with a pipe diameter of 28 mm. The Haraichi lock-type leg opening mechanism allows users to open the legs by pressing a button, and can be operated with light force, improving operability.
Equipped with a water bubble level and U3/8 accessory screw hole on the main body. The leg pipes are new LCII carbon pipes that prevent slipping and are affordable. Double nut type camera screw for secure fixation
The camera is mounted using a basic double nut method. The design of the mounting part allows large diameter lenses to be mounted without interference. The design prevents the lens and camera from bumping the pan head
Forward and Backward Movement with Camera Screw
The screw position of the camera mounting part has a structure that allows it to be moved back and forth. This is useful for adjusting the weight balance of the camera and lens and for choosing a position that will not hit the camera head.
Carbon Pipe
These tripods bring in the new generation LCII carbon pipe, which is strong yet affordable in price. The ARS (Anti Rotation System) pipe prevents pipes from idling, which prevents the lower tier from idling and allows all tiers to expand and contract at once.
New body parts
The main body (the part that attaches the three legs of the tripod) has been completely redesigned. The elevator stopper knob is designed to be large and easy to operate. Equipped with a water bubble/spirit level, which serves as a guide for leveling the tripod. Additionally, it is equipped with a U3/8 inch female threaded accessory mounting port.
Adopts Haraichi lock system, leg opening angle is 3 stages
The leg opening angle can be adjusted in 3 stages. By operating the “leg stopper” on the leg attachment part, users can set it to three levels: high, middle, and low. With the Haraichi lock system, pressing down on the button releases the leg spread stopper and allows users to freely adjust the leg angle.
Pan head mounting screws at bottom of the tripod
The Slik Carbon E8 series comes with pan head mounting screws at the bottom of the elevator. By attaching the free movement head (sold separately), users can set the camera at a lower position. This also works for adding counterweights.
