This month at System5, the high-end, medium-format GFX line of Fujifilm cameras and lenses is on full-display. Let’s take a look!
Fujifilm released the well-respected GFX100II last year, and it has been making waves throughout the industry with its performance. Not only is it a phenomenal photography camera, it also is a stellar video camera.
Visitors to the PROGEAR shop in Hanzomon can take a look at the whole lineup of GFX lenses. That includes the tilt-shift line of lenses. These lenses are well-known for their power and versatility: one lens can be used for a variety of shooting scenarios.
All of the cameras and lenses on sale come with an insurance guarantee and repair service!
Fujifilm GFX gear in cinematography
GFX gear was used by PRONEWS Japan to produce a sample cinematic video, entitled Over the Limit, featuring traditional Japanese Noh theater and modern-day Japanese skateboarding. The A-camera used is the Fujifilm GFX 100II. Fujifilm stated their goal with the GFX100II was to make the camera both a photography AND videography camera. The video is shot with multiple different lenses, dynamic lighting and colors, and with a variety of motion and emotion. The GFX 100II’s power and versatility is on display, that’s for sure!
If you want to explore different cinema lenses, behind the GFX display is a display of DZOFilm cinematic lenses. These can be used with adapters on the GFX cameras, providing more cinematic versatility.
Stop by System5 in the Hanzomon district of Tokyo to check out what else is available! In May, the main floor display will change, so be sure to check out the showroom frequently. We will report and test out more gear from PRONEWS in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates!
