Adobe has announced Frame.io V4 (Beta version). Frame.io V4 will be released in beta for free and Pro users. The web, iPhone, and iPad versions will be released in stages throughout 2024. In addition, it is scheduled to be available for team and enterprise users later this year.
Adobe Frame.io V4 (Beta version) features completely new workflow management features based on a dynamic metadata framework and a smart folder system called Collections, making it a cloud-based platform that is customizable, powerful and flexible enough to facilitate any creative workflow, not just video.
Frame.io V4 (Beta version) delivers revamped file transfer, media asset review and approval, sharing, and presentation capabilities to provide users with a more powerful and intuitive platform for the most demanding creative projects.

- Workflow Management : Frame.io V4 (Beta) delivers an all-new metadata framework to transform how users interact with assets. Instead of relying solely on strict folder structures, users can now tag, organize and view media based on how their teams work. Frame.io V4

Additionally, later this year, Frame.io will natively integrate with Workfront, enabling new unified review and approval workflows to streamline collaboration between cross-functional teams.

Frame.io V4 (Beta version) expands creative support beyond video to more powerful workflows for photography and imaging. Frame.io V4 (Beta version) is customizable, powerful and flexible enough to meet the demands of any creative workflow, serving creatives across the entire content development lifecycle, regardless of the underlying asset type.
- Casting and Auditions : Organize audition material by role, filter by selection status, and view metadata like agency, agent offerings, and schedule availability. Users can assign tasks to specific team members and provide review, annotation, and star ratings.
- Location Hunting : Manage location hunting by comparing potential locations, compiling reports, and arranging logistics for optimal filming conditions.
- Daily Stock Review : Manage daily updated video assets and allow talent and studios to see only the material relevant to them based on their role. Talent receives a daily updated collection of only their takes, while approvers in the studio access dynamically updated collections organized by shoot date, scene and accepted takes.
- Marketing Campaign Management : Manage all creative assets and approval processes within a marketing campaign, allowing grouping by delivery channel and asset type while displaying metadata such as specs and media cost.
New Frame.io integration enables collaboration across the content supply chain
Frame.io will continue to be natively integrated across the Adobe product portfolio.
- Creative Cloud : Frame.io currently integrates with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, and will be available to Adobe Creative Cloud enterprise and Adobe Photoshop users starting in May, with support for more Adobe Creative Cloud tools and customer segments later this year.
- Workfront : Frame.io’s integration with Workfront, scheduled for later this year, will enable new unified review and approval workflows that streamline collaboration between cross-functional teams, a key capability for brands to automate and optimize their content supply chain.
- GenStudio : As part of Adobe GenStudio, a generative AI-first offering that helps marketers rapidly plan, create, manage, deliver and measure on-brand content through native integrations into Adobe Experience Cloud and Adobe Creative Cloud, Frame.io, along with other Adobe applications such as Adobe Express and Adobe Firefly Services, helps automate content production at scale.
