Focus Studio via 7Artisans announced the release of the Seagull M35mm F1.7 interchangeable lens, for the Leica M mount.
The Seagull M35mm F1.7 is a special lens limited to 500 units worldwide, born from a business partnership between the long-established Chinese camera brand “Seagull” and Shenzhen-based “7Artisans.” It also comes with a pin badge with a serial number and the Seagull brand logo, giving it the rarity and special feeling that only a limited model can have.
The lens is made up of 8 elements in 6 groups. The brightness of the maximum aperture of F1.7 and the 10 aperture blades create a soft bokeh, allowing you to shoot in dark places such as indoors or at night with reduced blur and noise. In addition, the metal lens hood blocks unnecessary light and improves contrast.
The easy-to-use focusing lever, smooth-rotating focus ring, and aperture ring with just the right amount of click feeling are said to provide comfortable operability.
The lens body is made of metal, which has a high-quality texture and is durable, and has a sophisticated design that harmonizes with the Leica M. The surface is anodized to improve scratch resistance and wear resistance.
