Registration for CineGear Expo NY 2024 has begun. Registration can be completed from the CineGear website.
For the first time this year, CineGear is adding “Photo Focus,” a day dedicated to the vibrant East Coast photography community. Scheduled for March 14, 2024, we invite professionals and enthusiasts to this one-day instructional and inspiring experience dedicated to the art and craft of still photography.
The Photo Focus event, held in historic Industry City Building 3, will feature exclusive seminars and workshops from New York photographers, brands and partners. Phil Caruso, an award-winning still photographer for Hollywood’s top movies and television shows, will present the first panel of the day, “The Defining Moment On Set.” Lead. In “Travel Photography: On the Road with Esteban Toro,” the celebrated New York-based photographer and filmmaker shares lessons learned from his globe-trotting profession.
ZEISS will host a conversation between photographer/professor Kenneth Hines and street photographer Jason Vuong, bridging the intersections of contemporary photography.
The Cine Gear Expo exhibit booth will be open March 15-16 at Industry City’s historic Box Factory. The latest technology will be showcased from film and photo equipment brands such as Aputure, Astera, Core SWX, Creamsource, Flanders Scientific, Manfrotto Lighting, Matthews Studio Equipment, Nanlux, SmallHD, RatPac Controls, Teradek, Videndum and Wooden Camera.
The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) will also be exhibiting at booth 224. CineGear Seminar returns to Camp David with sessions such as PRG Presents – Broadway’s Visual Renaissance: Understanding the Surging Demand for Video.
The night of the 15th concluded with the “CineGear Industry Party” hosted by ARRI, and on the 16th there were ARRI and ICG booths, a premiere seminar, and the always popular ASC panel, this time “Cinematographers Creative Process.” – Deconstructing Scenes (the cinematographer’s creative process – deconstructing scenes).
