F Course: Lighting Edition

This is a course about lighting. LED lights in particular have undergone amazing evolution every year. There are plenty of highlights, including NANLITE’s FC series’ first full-color LED light “FS-300C,” Aputure’s BLAIR light engine-equipped “STORM 1200x,” developed in pursuit of accurate sunlight and more accurate tungsten light.

01 APARO (#3410)
Full color air panel light “RADI 48 Air”

The RADI 48 Air is the APARO RADI series’ largest beam area. The mat is a high-brightness, high-color rendering LED light with an inflatable softbox and the latest SMD LED technology. The soft housing of the LED mat is lightweight and portable. The LED beads are bright, have a stable color temperature, a high color rendering index (CRI) of 96+, are energy-efficient, and have a long lifespan. It can be used for portrait photography, studio broadcasting, film shooting, program interviews, etc.

1200W bi-color LED “STORM 1200x”

You might think that LED lights from all manufacturers are pretty much the same, but Aputure’s STORM 1200x is a little different. Equipped with the LED light engine “BLAIR LED” that uses five dedicated LED chips of blue, lime, amber, indigo, and red, it is possible to achieve accurate dimming of the color tone different from RGBWW and RGBACL. Compared to other technologies, it is characterized by the realization of brighter and higher quality white light. It is also IP65 dustproof and water-resistant, so it can be used on rainy days and sunny days.

LED light “Phottix Nuada R3a”

A new model has been released in the popular “Phottix Nuada R3” series of LED lights, known for their large, round, soft light. The biggest change is that the remote control function now has a built-in Bluetooth system. Remote control is intuitive and clear through the mobile app. The color temperature has been expanded to a wide range of 2500K to 8500K. The panel is 13mm thick and weighs 1995g (batteries not included). It supports both battery and AC power modes, so it can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Full-color LED light “FS-300C”

Our top recommendation is the FS-300C, the first RGBW full-color light in the FS series. In addition to a high output of up to 300W, it features RGBW mode and G/M adjustment functions. In addition to being able to achieve a wide variety of color expressions in RGBW mode, the HSI mode, which allows you to adjust the hue and saturation, allows you to effectively use a rich range of 36,000 colors in your shooting scenes. Mono LED “L1600D”

Profoto, a hugely popular brand in the still market, is entering the video market. They will also be exhibiting at Inter BEE for the first time. Their first new product for the cinema market, the L1600D, features a relatively small all-in-one lighting unit that does not require a ballast. It is also compatible with Profoto light modifiers and the company’s wireless Air standard.

06 GODOX Photo Equipment (#6409)
Full-color LED light “MG1200R”

GODOX is a rare manufacturer that covers all segments of the lighting still and video markets, from low to high end. This fall, they are also actively appealing to the high end, such as announcing a panel light for medium-scale productions and a parallel beam system for film shooting. At Inter BEE, attention will be focused on the display of the “MG1200R,” a full-color LED light specialized for cinema lighting. A product of Godox’s Knowled series, a professional film lighting brand, it supports full RGB color control with a maximum output of 1200W. It supports a color temperature range of 1800 to 10,000K.
