Leica has announced the limited edition release of the “Leica Noctilux M f0.95/50mm ASPH. Titanium.” Based on the current model known as a masterpiece, the lens will be limited to 100 pieces worldwide, engraved with a limited serial number. They will be sold at the Leica Store.
This large-diameter lens has been one of the masterpieces of lenses. This lens boasts overwhelming brightness since the first model was introduced in 1966, and new generation models have been announced several times so far. The lens continues to evolve as a lens with superior depiction performance.
The special limited edition model “Leica Noctilux M f0.95/50mm ASPH. Titanium” uses solid titanium for its housing. The elegant appearance created by the lightweight and highly durable titanium material is impressive. In the past, special limited edition titanium models of M-type cameras have been released several times. This lens is an homage to those past lenses.
Other than the use of titanium, the specifications and performance are the same as the regular model “Leica Noctilux M f0.95/50mm ASPH.” By opening the aperture, the depth of field can be made extremely shallow, producing beautiful depictions with exquisite bokeh that cannot be achieved with other lenses. This makes it possible to produce high-contrast and vivid images even in low-light scenes.
