Sony announced the release date the CineAlta BURANO cinematic camera. It is due on February 9, 2024. Previously, it was announced to be released in the spring of 2024. The products being released are as follows.
■ Sony Burano Products Due:
- CineAlta camera “BURANO”
- Grip remote control “GP-VR100”
- CFexpress Type B memory card “CEB-G1920T” (1920GB), “CEB-G960T” (960GB)
Sony BURANO is characterized by the high image quality, beautiful bokeh, dynamic wide-angle shooting, and 16-stop wide latitude and wide color gamut that can only be achieved with a full-frame sensor. In addition to recording 8K quality with a maximum resolution of 8632 x 4856, it is also possible to record high-quality 4K video using oversampling using the 8K sensor. The camera also has built in ND filters, a first for its kind.
While realizing cinema-like image expression, the compact and lightweight body, intuitive operability, and high mobility enable efficient shooting with a small number of people. As mentioned, an electronic variable ND filter and a built-in optical image stabilization mechanism are simultaneously installed in a compact housing, making the photographic equipment system including peripheral equipment compact, making it easy to handle and carry during shooting.
It can also be used as an E-mount camera by removing the PL lens mount, and in addition to image stabilization, it also supports fast hybrid AF and subject recognition AF, providing powerful support for shooting fast-moving subjects. It also has two new slots that support CFexpress Type B memory cards.
By expanding its Cinema Line cameras, Sony will support diverse video production and co-create the future of entertainment with creators.
