3 Legged Thing announced the global release of the “Ernie QD” L-bracket for Sony Alpha cameras, the “Riley QD” for the Canon R7, and darkness colors for the “QR11 Full Body 2.0” and “QR11 2.0.” These products will be released on August 8, 2024.

Arnie QD for Sony Alpha Cameras
The 3 Legged Thing Ernie QD is an L-bracket exclusively for the Sony α series that is compatible with the QD system. The main body is made of durable magnesium alloy and is molded as a single piece to resist distortion.
It is Arca-Swiss compatible and can be smoothly mounted on a tripod either horizontally or vertically, with rubber pads to prevent the camera from shifting. The bracket is designed to allow access to the side ports, memory card slot, and battery slot without interfering with the movement of the LCD monitor.
There are two 3/8 inch screw holes with 1/4 inch conversion adapters on the bottom of the base, allowing you to attach accessories such as arms.
It also has a drop prevention screw, a strap hole, and a QD socket that supports the QD system. It comes with an adapter plate that can be attached to the Peak Design “Capture V3”, so you can attach and detach the bracket to the Capture V3 without removing it. Available in two colors: copper and dark.

Riley QD for Canon R7
The 3 Legged Thing Riley QD is an L-bracket exclusively for the Canon R7 that is compatible with the QD system. The body is made of durable magnesium alloy and is molded as a single piece to resist distortion.
It is Arca-Swiss compatible and can be smoothly mounted on a tripod either horizontally or vertically. The bracket is designed not to interfere with the movement of the LCD monitor and allows access to the side ports, memory card slot, and battery slot with the bracket attached.
There is one 1/4 inch screw hole and one 3/8 inch screw hole with a 1/4 inch conversion adapter on the side, and two 3/8 inch screw holes with 1/4 inch conversion adapters on the bottom of the base, allowing you to attach accessories such as arms.
It also has a drop prevention screw, a strap hole, and a QD socket that is compatible with the QD system. Drop prevention screws are also installed on the side of the bracket to prevent accidental dropping when installed vertically.
An adapter plate that can be attached to the Peak Design “Capture V3” is included, so you can attach and detach the bracket to the Capture V3. Available in two colors: copper and dark.
QR11 Full-Body 2.0 / QR11 2.0 Darkness new color added
In addition to the currently available copper and gray, 3 Legged Thing announced a matte black color L-bracket with an anodized finish, “Darkness,” will be released. This new color will be added as an option other than the current colors, and will be useful for shooting in environments where you want to avoid attracting attention, such as in studios, backstage, and for nature photographers.
QR11 Full Body 2.0
This highly versatile L bracket is compatible with a variety of camera bodies with battery grips. It has two 1/4-inch screw holes on the side and one 3/8-inch screw hole with a 1/4-inch conversion adapter on the bottom of the base, allowing you to attach accessories such as arms. It also has a screw to prevent it from falling and a strap hole. The side plate is secured with a hexagonal screw and can be rotated to suit the camera.
QR11 2.0
