Blackmagic Design has released Blackmagic Camera 2.0 for iOS, available for download from the App Store.
This update adds support for remote control and monitoring of multiple iPhones at the same time. iPhones can be set up as controllers and smartphones running Blackmagic Cameras can be securely connected to your network via cable or WiFi. Customers can get a multi view of all cameras so they can monitor and control zoom, focus, white balance, frame rate, shutter angle, lens selection and more for each or all cameras. All cameras can also be synchronized so recording can be started and stopped at the same time.
The Blackmagic Camera 2.0 update also adds support for the Apple Silicon-based iPad Pro. This support allows users to use the iPad as a camera or controller on its own.
The iPad’s screen is larger than a smartphone, so when used as a controller it makes it easy to monitor multiple cameras in multi-view, displaying up to nine cameras simultaneously, or you can scroll through each camera.
Additionally, Blackmagic added support for 100fps HD on the iPhone 15 Pro, and a new option to select multiple clips in the Media tab so you can copy or delete them all at the same time, speeding up your workflow and making it quick and easy to free up space or copy clips to an external drive.
