ZOOM announced at IBC2024 the LiveTrak L6, a 10-channel ultra-compact digital mixer and recorder that supports 32-bit float audio and does not require gain adjustment, from late September 2024. The estimated price is approximately $270. Prices may vary depending on location.
The LiveTrak L6 is the world’s first digital mixer equipped with dual AD circuits and 32-bit float recording technology. It can input 10 channels of audio signals and simultaneously record up to 12 tracks (10 tracks + master L/R) to a microSD card (sold separately).
The XLR/TRS phone input is equipped with a dual AD circuit that achieves a wide dynamic range and high S/N ratio, realizing clear audio input without distortion from small to large sounds without the need for gain adjustment. The final stage has a built-in master compressor that prevents level overshoots and increases sound pressure, preventing harsh distortion at any stage of input, mixing, recording, and output.
In addition, its compact body measuring just 23 cm wide and 11 cm deep means it can be easily placed alongside other equipment, and its battery-powered design runs on four AA batteries or USB mobile power, making it easy to carry and use in a variety of locations, such as for mixing multiple synthesizers on a live stage or recording podcasts on the go.
The ZOOM LiveTrak L6 comes with 3.5mm TRS phone MIDI IN/OUT terminals that can be linked to external MIDI devices, it is also ideal as a machine live mixer that can play multiple synthesizers in sync without using a computer.
