RØDE Microphone announced the release of the VideoMic ME C+ directional microphone for mobile devices, and the NT1 Signature condenser microphone series in a new cobalt color on Friday, October 25, 2024.
RØDE VideoMic ME C+
The VideoMic ME C+ is a high-quality directional microphone for iOS and Android devices with MFi-certified USB-C connectors. It can be mounted directly to the device without cables, and can be used plug-and-play without the need for complicated settings.
The microphone’s directional nature effectively reduces ambient noise and captures the sound from the desired direction, making the audio in your videos clearer and more professional.
In addition, it is equipped with a 3.5mm terminal, allowing for headphone output for audio monitoring during recording and playback. It also comes with a furry windshield WS9 that reduces wind noise, so it can be used safely even when shooting outdoors.
The VideoMic ME C+ is said to contribute to raising the level of audio content production and video production by improving the audio quality of content and reliably capturing the subject’s voice while suppressing ambient noise.

“NT1 Signature” series condenser microphone (cobalt)
The NT1 Signature series, a basic edition of the large diaphragm condenser microphone NT1, which was developed when RØDE was founded and has undergone repeated model changes to suit the times, will be available in a new color, Cobalt. Together with the color variations already available, there will be a total of seven colors available.
While maintaining the warm, silky sound quality of the NT1, the microphone capsule uses the company’s own 1-inch condenser capsule HF6, which is said to achieve rich bass, highly resolved midrange, and brilliant high range.
In addition, with extremely low self-noise of just 4dBA, frequency characteristics that smoothly pick up a wide range of sound, a tight cardioid pattern, and high input sound pressure processing capability, it provides extremely clear and low-noise sound in any recording scenario.
In addition to the microphone itself, the package includes a shock mount, pop filter, and XLR cable, so you can start recording right out of the box.
