Nikon mentioned the appearance of the actual product may differ from the photo above.

There was speculation regarding the ongoing development of the NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ. Nikon today announced it will be developed, but there has not been a release date confirmed. Other specs, such as its performance and MTF diagrams, were not released yet.

This lens is a standard zoom lens with power zoom that covers the focal-length range from 28 to 135 mm. The design provides ease of use and superior optical performance for video recording, supporting efficient recording for documentaries and location work by a solo videographer or small crew.

Nikon announced this lens on the heels of other products released in the last 3 years that focus on video production. The Nikon Z6III, Z9 with N-Log, and their purchase of RED all show Nikon’s pivot toward becoming a video production powerhouse.

As stated above, specifics, including regional-specific restrictions, will be announced in the future, however, for now, we eagerly await the full reveal of this lens in the coming months.
