Australian audio manufacturer RØDE announced the Wireless GO (Gen 3) wireless microphone in their home country on December 9th. The RØDE Wireless GO (Gen 3) boasts all the necessary functions and convenience while retaining the intuitive and portable operability that is characteristic of the series.
For the first time in the RØDE Wireless series, Wireless GO (Gen 3) is available in a range of limited edition colours rather than just black and white, giving creators new outlets for expression.

The Wireless GO is packed with cutting-edge features that let you record flawless audio with peace of mind. Both transmitters feature a built-in professional microphone with an omnidirectional pickup pattern and use the same improved design and upgraded preamp circuitry as the Wireless PRO system. This makes them suitable for recording clear, crisp audio even in less than ideal placement locations while minimizing the risk of passivation and other audio artifacts.
Additionally, 32-bit float on-board recording allows you to capture audio directly into each transmitter without worrying about clipping or too little audio. This technology ensures you always have a backup of your audio, even when recording in the most challenging and dynamic environments. Each transmitter also features a dedicated record button to start and stop recording, and over 40 hours of on-board memory.
For those who want to record direct to camera, Wireless GO boasts a suite of features designed to make recording as seamless as possible, with minimal editing required in post. RØDE’s Gain Assist technology uses intelligent algorithms to dynamically adjust audio levels, resulting in a silky smooth output without the jumps and spikes that can be common in live recordings.
Gain Assist has two modes, Auto and Dynamic, the latter of which produces a balanced signal while preserving the nuanced dynamics of your recording. Additionally, Wireless GO also features a Safety Channel, which records a second copy of your audio track at a lower volume to prevent audio loss due to a hot signal. These features combine to help you avoid poor quality recordings.
A microphone for every setup and setting
Like the entire RØDE Wireless series, Wireless GO (3rd Gen) is said to be extremely versatile. With both digital (USB-C) and analogue (3.5mm TRRS) outputs, it can record pristine wireless audio direct to a variety of devices, including cameras, phones, laptops and tablets. The transmitter can also pair directly to other RØDE Series IV compatible products, such as the RØDECaster Pro II and Duo, RØDECaster Video and other wireless receivers in the Series IV lineup.
Also making a comeback is RØDE’s unique wireless form factor, with an integrated clip design that allows for quick and easy attachment to belts, collars, clothing or cold shoe mounts. This design and flexible connectivity options make the Wireless GO a creative chameleon, capable of being used not only with DSLR and mirrorless camera shoots, but also as a smartphone recording rig, USB microphone setup or even as a field recorder.
More features, more flexibility
With an improved built-in microphone, powerful onboard recording, robust gain control and versatile connectivity, Wireless GO is packed with powerful professional features for creators. Both transmitters feature locking connectors for added security when using external lavaliers or other microphones with locking connectors. Intelligent plug-in power detection automatically powers Wireless GO on and off in sync with the connected camera, extending battery life in the field and keeping it always ready to record, so you can work longer.
The receiver also features a 3.5mm TRRS jack, allowing compatibility with headphones, lavaliers and other TRRS microphones, as well as headphone monitoring with adjustable output levels. Additional features such as merge and split recording modes, marker drop, customizable buttons and flexible recording options make the Wireless GO one of the most adaptable wireless microphone systems available. Wireless GO can be easily configured from a computer or smartphone using the RØDE Central companion app, allowing users to instantly adjust their setup wherever they are.
Your sound, your style, your story
In addition to black and white, Wireless GO (3rd generation) is available in a variety of colors, including vibrant red, orange, green, purple, pink and blue options, as well as muted tones of cobalt, clay, lilac, stone, rose and moss.
This is the first time that RØDE’s wireless range is available in colours other than black and white, and the colour variations will be available in limited quantities exclusively from RØDE.
Charging case
To coincide with the release of Wireless GO, RØDE will release a dedicated charging and travel case accessory, the Charge Case+. This compact case for Wireless GO (3rd generation) keeps the entire system safe when stored or on the go. It has a built-in battery that provides up to 21 hours of use on two full charges, and allows simultaneous data access to the entire system, including transferring recordings, adjusting settings, and updating firmware. The Charge Case+ is sold separately.
