Panasonic Corporation will release the digital 4K video cameras, the HC-X2100 and HC-X1600, which pack high performance into a small, lightweight body and allow users to enjoy professional shooting, in late April 2025.
These cameras can record high-definition 4K60p video with a rich amount of information at 10bit 200Mbps, making it suitable for professional video production such as news and interview shooting, as well as video enthusiasts who want to enjoy smooth, high-quality video shooting. With a wide focal range of 24x optical zoom from wide-angle 25mm to telephoto 600mm, it can handle a variety of shooting situations.
Battery
The included 5,900mAh battery allows for continuous shooting for approximately 6 hours and 10 minutes (HC-X1600) in 4K60p. In addition, it supports USB-PD (Power Delivery), so it can be used flexibly for long-term shooting outdoors or at events.
Operability
In terms of operability, in addition to the 4K high-precision AF that supports face detection and tracking AE/AF, it also has two manual rings, one dial, a user button, and an ND filter built in, enabling professional photography.
In addition, the detachable handle unit (VW-HU1 sold separately for the HC-X1600) is equipped with a 2-channel XLR audio input terminal and +48V phantom power, and supports external microphone recording and line recording, allowing high-level audio recording using professional microphones. The HC-X2100 is equipped with a BNC terminal for 3G-SDI to support professional sites such as broadcast stations.
It also supports live broadcasting via IP streaming, and is said to be a video camera that combines high-quality images with mobility, making it ideal for professional use in business or for advanced amateurs creating highly detailed videos.
