To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Leica I, Leica will release collector’s bears, “Elsie” and “Ernst,” as well as the teddy bear “Cuddle,” designed in collaboration with Steiff, known for its teddy bears, from February 2025 onwards.
Leica is known as a byword for outstanding quality, extreme precision and outstanding innovation “Made in Germany”. With a rich tradition cultivated in Wetzlar, Germany, Leica shares the same values as Steiff.
Richard Steiff, the inventor of the teddy bear, was also an avid photographer, and this special collection was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Leica I.
Each special edition teddy bear is limited to 500 pieces and is crafted with meticulous attention to detail and features exclusive Leica elements.
