Ultra-wide lens covering Vista Vision
The LAOWA 9mm T5.8 VV Cine covers Vista Vision (image circle diameter: φ46.31mm). The lens is compatible with large-format cameras such as the RED Raptor 8K VV (φ46.31mm) and Alexa LF Open Gate (φ44.71mm).
This lens is the widest Vista Vision compatible non-fisheye lens on the cinema market. It has a 134.8° angle of view, and straight lines are depicted as straight lines. It makes it easy to shoot in tight spaces that were previously difficult to do. In addition, the ultra-wide perspective is effective in exaggerating the space and achieving a dramatic effect.
Close-up photography
The minimum focusing distance is 12cm, allowing for close-up focusing. It offers more creative flexibility and allows for shallow depth of field and beautiful bokeh despite being an ultra-wide-angle lens.
