Yamaha Corporation will release the condenser microphone, the YCM705, July 10, 2025. This microphone is ideal for music production as well as live streaming and video content production, on Thursday,.
The YCM705 is a condenser microphone that faithfully captures every detail of sound, including the delicate breathing of an expressive vocalist or the fingering of an instrument, delivering “True Sound” that faithfully expresses the feelings that creators and artists have put into their music in music production, live streaming, and video content production.
It uses a custom-designed 1-inch large diaphragm condenser capsule and supports unidirectionality that makes it easy to capture the desired sound. Additionally, the microphone has a pad switch that can change the input signal in three stages, giving you more freedom in recording, and a low-cut filter that reduces unnecessary low-frequency noise to record the sound source clearly.
It comes in two color variations, black and white, and both feature flowing curves in their designs inspired by the shape of wind instruments.
Yamaha YCM705 Features
Custom-designed microphone capsule and recording performance
The new YCM705 uses a custom-designed 1-inch large diaphragm condenser capsule that reproduces realistic sound without missing the delicate breathing of an emotive vocalist or the fingering of an instrument.
In addition, because it is unidirectional, it makes it easy to capture the desired sound, making it easier to produce professional-level recordings, and achieving “True Sound” that faithfully expresses the feelings that creators and artists have put into sound and music.

Equipped with a pad switch for greater recording flexibility
The YCM705 is equipped with a pad switch that allows you to change the input signal in three steps: OFF, -10dB, and -20dB. This allows you to record not only vocals and acoustic guitars, but also loud instruments such as drums, wind instruments, brass instruments, and pianos.

Equipped with a low-cut filter to reduce unnecessary low-frequency noise
The YCM705 is equipped with a low-cut filter that reduces unnecessary environmental sounds such as air conditioner sounds and low-frequency noise, allowing you to record audio sources more clearly. In addition, when recording multiple instruments on separate tracks, adjusting unnecessary low frequencies makes the final mixing process easier.

A design incorporating flowing curves reminiscent of musical instruments
Like the “YDM Series,” the YCM705 also features a sophisticated design inspired by the flowing curves of wind instruments. The robust metal body has a matte surface finish, and the overall design is meticulous down to the last detail, expressing the high basic performance and profound potential of the YCM705 as a recording tool.

Includes accessories for improved sound quality and comfortable use
The YCM705 comes with a variety of accessories, including a shock mount that reduces vibrations transmitted from the microphone stand, and a pop filter that prevents noise that occurs when recording vocals without compromising sound quality.
