DJI announced the DJI Neo 2. This new drone is DJI’s lightest and most compact drone yet, weighing just 151g.
The Neo 2 now supports omnidirectional obstacle sensing and gesture control, allowing you to control the drone with just the palm of your hand.

What is the DJI Neo 2?
The DJI Neo 2 features a new SelfieShot function for easy shooting, and an improved ActiveTrack function that makes it easier to capture low-altitude tracking shots while doing activities like running and cycling. Easy to operate even for beginners, the Neo 2 is perfect for family outings, outdoor sports, travel, and FPV experiences, allowing you to capture your subject while tracking closely.

Capture content with just a few clicks
The Neo 2 features a new small display on the left side of the front of the camera that clearly shows the selected shooting mode. Simply point the aircraft toward you and press the takeoff button to take off from the palm of your hand. Once you’re done shooting, the innovative return function1 allows the Neo 2 to accurately detect your palm, return safely, and land in your hand.

Gesture control and various flight modes
When using gestures, you can control the drone’s flight direction and distance with one or both hands. By pointing the palm of one hand toward the drone, you can control the drone’s left/right or up/down movement while in flight.
By using gesture controls, you don’t need to use the remote controller to adjust the shooting angle.
The Neo 2 also supports voice control, allowing users to send flight commands via smartphone or Bluetooth headphones during sports and other activities. When connected to the DJI RC-N3 remote controller, the Neo 2 achieves a video transmission distance of up to 10km (6km in Japan).

The Neo 2 supports a variety of control methods, including operating the drone without a remote controller1 or combining it with motion controllers and goggles for immersive FPV (first-person view) flying.
SmartCapture for clear footage
The Neo 2 features a 12MP 1/2-inch CMOS sensor, f/2.2 aperture, and a high-performance image processor to capture clear, low-noise footage. It also now supports a 2-axis gimbal to ensure image stability. DJI’s unique ActiveTrack function, combined with the new SelfieShot feature, automatically keeps your subject in frame for smooth, hands-free shooting from start to finish.
A variety of intelligent shooting modes allow you to capture new perspectives, and Neo 2 also supports 4K slow-motion video at up to 100fps and 2.7K portrait video, capturing crisp, detailed, cinema-quality footage.
The Neo 2’s enhanced tracking performance improves response speed and stability, enabling smoother and more stable tracking even during activities like running and cycling. In open areas, it can track at speeds up to 12 m/s².
Tracking in eight directions (forward, backward, left, right, and four diagonal directions) enables more natural follow shots and expands the scope of creative expression. In complex environments, the drone switches to rear tracking mode to firmly capture the subject and achieve stable shots.

For hands-free solo and group shots, Neo 2’s new SelfieShot feature lets you easily switch between waist-up, full-body and distant views without a tripod or assistance. With just a tap, Neo 2 captures precious moments, controlling the camera as needed for birthday parties, weekend picnics, family outings and more.
Intelligent shooting modes for stunning footage
Neo 2 supports intelligent shooting modes such as Dolly Zoom, Quick Shot and Master Shot, making it easy to capture impressive footage with a variety of different perspectives.
- Dolly Zoom: Supports the Hitchcock effect, making it easy to create compelling videos for social media.
- QuickShots: DJI’s exclusive QuickShots include Dronie, Circle, Rocket, Spotlight, Helix and Boomerang, making it easy to capture captivating follow shots of a variety of activities, like cycling or skateboarding.
- Master Shot: Automatically capture a variety of shots with creative camerawork, then smartly edit them together with music to create a high-quality video.
Triple protection for beginners
The drone’s omnidirectional monocular vision system, combined with a forward-facing LiDAR and downward infrared sensing system, detects obstacles in real time, ensuring safe and secure flight. The integrated propeller guard design completely covers the propellers, allowing even beginners to operate the drone with confidence.
Furthermore, compared to its predecessor, the Neo 2, the hovering and positioning performance has been improved, making it suitable for a variety of flight scenarios, making it easier to fly in complex environments such as indoors, near buildings, over water, and over snow.

Making video production easier and more efficient
The Neo 2 boasts Level 5 wind resistance and a maximum flight time of 19 minutes. It also features 49GB of internal storage, allowing it to store up to 105 minutes of 4K/60fps video, 175 minutes of 4K/30fps video, and 241 minutes of 1080p/60fps video. Once stored, no data cable is required for video transfer. Simply connect to your smartphone via Wi-Fi to quickly transfer footage to the DJI Fly app at speeds of up to 80MB/s1 for seamless editing and sharing.
