DJI announced the Osmo Pocket 4, a new pocket gimbal camera equipped with a 1-inch CMOS sensor, and has begun accepting pre-orders. It will be released on April 22, 2026.
This new product boasts even greater imaging capabilities than its predecessor. It can capture impressive 4K/240fps slow-motion footage and clear images in low-light conditions. With a 14-stop dynamic range and 10-bit D-Log support, it delivers cinematic, immersive images. Furthermore, the Osmo Pocket 4’s upgraded intelligent tracking capabilities ensure that the subject remains in focus and within the frame, even when moving through a crowd.
Clearer low-light shooting and sharper images
The Osmo Pocket 4’s 1-inch CMOS sensor and f/2.0 aperture allow you to capture natural, clear portraits even in low-light conditions. Its 14-stop dynamic range and 10-bit D-Log color profile deliver rich tonality and natural colors even in dimly lit scenes such as twilight or on the beach. Furthermore, it produces healthier, more refined skin tones in portraits and delivers excellent performance even in high-contrast environments.
A dedicated zoom button allows you to switch between 1x and 2x lossless zoom with a single tap. Ultra HD slow-motion video can also be shot in 4K/240fps.
Shots that stand out with Smart Capture
The Osmo Pocket 4’s 3-axis stabilization mechanism enables stable, high-quality vlogging and live streaming even while walking. It also features multiple gimbal modes for smoother camera work. ActiveTrack 7.0 tracks subjects securely even at 4x zoom. Tracking modes such as Spotlight Follow and Dynamic Framing are also available, allowing you to easily shoot cinematic footage with one hand.
The intelligent autofocus function ensures that subjects are always captured in sharp detail. When “Subject Lock Tracking” is enabled, the camera automatically tracks and locks focus on the selected subject. Switching subjects is also easy with just a tap of the screen. The “Registered Subject Priority” function allows you to prioritize focus on pre-registered subjects.
You can also quickly take photos using gesture controls; for example, a “palm gesture” showing your palm will turn on ActiveTrack, and a “V gesture” showing a peace sign will start/stop taking photos or recording videos.
More intuitive and easy to use
The Osmo Pocket 4 enhances the user experience with several intuitive new features that streamline the creative production process. First, you can start shooting with a simple operation: just rotate the screen.
Additionally, two new buttons have been added to the bottom of the screen. One is a dedicated zoom button, allowing you to switch between 1x and 2x zoom, or directly switch to 4x zoom. The other is a custom preset button, which allows you to customize settings to your liking. The newly designed 5D joystick allows for free and easy camera work, such as moving the camera, returning the gimbal to the center position, and switching the camera’s orientation forward and backward.
Furthermore, this new model features 107GB of internal storage, allowing users to enjoy shooting without a memory card, and the captured footage can be easily transferred at speeds of up to 800MB/s.

- Slow Shutter Video: In video mode, you can manually adjust the shutter speed. Slow shutter shooting creates motion blur, resulting in unique visuals that capture the movement of the subject and the passage of time.
- Film Tones: Easily recreate classic styles with a wide variety of film tones. Professional-quality tonal expression is possible.
- In-camera skin-smoothing effect: Fine-tune skin smoothness, brightness, and tone for natural-looking selfies and group photos.
- Detachable auxiliary light: With 3 brightness and color temperature settings, it illuminates dark places and backlit scenes with natural, soft light.
- Long battery life and fast charging: Charges to 80% in just 18 minutes, allowing for up to 3 hours of recording. When fully charged, it can record 1080p/24fps video for up to 240 minutes.
Compatible with the Osmo Audio ecosystem.
The Osmo Pocket 4 captures clear audio while simultaneously recording ambient sounds with its built-in microphone array. It can also connect directly to DJI Mic Transmitters, allowing for 4-channel audio recording. Compatible DJI Mic Transmitters include the Mic 2, Mic 3, and Mic Mini, which are sold separately or included in certain combo packages.
