SHOTEN’s UMS series are mount adapters that employ a mount exchange system.
The lens body has a two-part structure, and by replacing the dedicated mount part on the body side, the same PL mount lens can be quickly attached to various cameras. Even when purchasing a new camera or using multiple cameras with different mounts, there is no need to prepare a new mount adapter, allowing you to effectively utilize your existing equipment.
The newly released “PL+” now includes a shim for adjusting the flange back (back focus). This allows for finer focus adjustments depending on the lens and camera combination being used, supporting more precise shooting.

SHOTEN UMS PL Mount Features
- By changing the mounting parts, it can be attached to cameras from various manufacturers.
- Flange back adjustment shims (0.02mm / 0.03mm / 0.05mm) are included, allowing users to make fine adjustments to the focus.
- The intermediate mount (U-mount) section, which connects the mounting parts, maintains high rigidity, allowing for a stable connection without any wobbling.
- The inside of the adapter is coated with a matte finish to significantly reduce internal reflections.
- The lens side employs highly durable and rigid stainless steel mounting parts, achieving high-precision installation.
