Shure announced the upcoming release of the “MV6 USB Gaming Microphone Gen 2,” the latest model in its “MOTIV” series of digital microphones, on Thursday, October 22, 2026. Pre-orders will begin on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
The MV6 Gen 2, which now includes a new white model in its lineup, builds upon the strong support for the original MV6 and incorporates feedback from gamers, streamers, and creators to deliver a more customizable audio experience.
Designed for PC gaming, live streaming, and content creation, the MV6 Gen 2 brings Shure’s broadcast-quality audio technology to a wider audience of creators. It’s an ideal product for users new to dedicated microphones, as well as those looking to upgrade from headsets for higher-quality sound.
Enhanced Audio Capabilities
The MV6 Gen 2 further enhances the intelligent audio processing capabilities that were a hallmark of the original model, giving gamers, streamers, and creators even more precise control. Based on Shure’s proprietary “Voice Isolation Technology,” it features an adjustable “Auto Level Mode” and “Real-Time Denoiser,” which more effectively control sudden volume changes and ambient noise during gameplay and streaming.
This ensures optimal sound tailored to each individual’s needs while maintaining consistently clear and stable audio. Users can concentrate on their games without worrying about audio levels, and can position microphones more freely to suit their setup and camera angles.

The free MOTIV app (desktop and mobile app) allows for detailed audio settings. Since the settings are retained on the microphone itself, consistent sound quality can be maintained even when switching between compatible devices.

Two color variations
In addition to the standard black, a new white option has been added. Both models come bundled with a desktop stand and USB-C cable that match the main unit’s color. The white model features a flocked foam windscreen with a velvet-like texture, creating a unified and sophisticated desk environment.
Adjustable auto-leveling mode
From whispers in voice chat to cheers of victory, it automatically optimizes audio levels and maintains a stable volume. Users can select the target audio level and response speed. The slow response setting delivers a natural, podcast-like sound, while the fast setting quickly responds to sudden loud noises during gameplay.
Adjustable real-time denoiser
The newly added slider allows you to freely control the amount of ambient sound included in your stream. You can suppress fan noise, keyboard typing sounds, and sounds of your roommates’ daily life while adjusting the sound to retain a more natural atmosphere.
Customizable EQ
In addition to simple presets such as “Dark,” “Natural,” and “Bright,” it features a 5-band EQ, allowing users to meticulously create their own unique sound character.
Built-in digital pop filter
It features a built-in filter function to reduce pop noise, suppressing unwanted plosive sounds through both physical and digital processing.

The Shure MV6 Gen 2 now includes a 2m (approximately 200cm) USB-C cable for more flexible installation. The included desktop stand features an isolation base to reduce vibration and shock. It also supports standard 5/8-inch screws, making it easy to attach to commercially available boom arms.
Furthermore, it features a 3.5mm headphone jack, allowing for real-time, lag-free monitoring of the audio heard by the listener. A tap-mute button with an LED indicator allows for instant and quiet muting.
