The Nikon Z8, Nikon Z9, and new Nikon Z f were all exhibited at InterBEE 2023!
We had the opportunity to interview Kuriyama-san about the brand new Nikon Z lineup of cameras. I was, in particular, excited to have a chance to try the Z f camera. The uniqueness of the retro style camera allows for more analogue fine-tuning of settings, something I want to try out on the field someday.
The popular and revolutionary Z8, which our reviewer Thierry had a closer look at earlier this year, was also exhibited, along side the Nikon Z9. Kuriyama-san also graciously showcased to us the Nikkor 135mm PLENA. With an iris of F1.8, this lens has a very tight global focus which does not vignette or distort. This lens easily created one of the most beautiful shots I can recall seeing.
What do you think about the Nikon Z f? Unfortunately it seems like this camera has a massive backlog. I am not surprised; it is a very popular and appealing camera. Nonetheless, we look forward to working with Nikon to test out the Z f some more in the coming months, so stay tuned!
