Blackmagic Design announced Blackmagic Camera 9.2 update which adds support for Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor, available for download from the support page.
This version adds support for PYXIS Monitor on the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K, giving customers full touch screen operation and menu control.
Blackmagic Camera for iOS also lets customers remotely control Blackmagic PYXIS cameras, so they can place Blackmagic PYXIS in hard to access locations for monitoring and use their phone or iPad to remotely control settings such as focus, white balance, frame rate and shutter angle. Customers can also start and stop recording on connected PYXIS cameras, making it ideal for multi camera shoots.
In addition, the behavior of the lock switch on Blackmagic PYXIS cameras has been improved so that when the switch is engaged, it locks only the built in touchscreen, leaving the buttons below the screen and external monitors such as the Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor operational. This prevents accidental settings changes and interruptions to the stream.
Blackmagic Camera 9.2 also adds lens correction data for L mount lenses to Blackmagic RAW files captured on Blackmagic PYXIS 6K series cameras, improves battery performance on Blackmagic PYXIS 6K series cameras for longer use, and improves tethering compatibility with iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro models.
The Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 also has improved gyro accuracy which allows for better stabilization of shots in DaVinci Resolve.
