Leica Camera AG announced the release of a new camera grip for iPhone, “Leica LUX Grip,” in February 2025.
The “Leica LUX Grip” brings intuitive operability and outstanding quality reminiscent of classic Leica cameras to smartphone photography. With its clean design, smooth handling, and easy attachment (MagSafe compatible, fixed by magnets), this camera grip enhances the ergonomics and functionality of smartphone photography. It uses BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) to communicate with the iPhone, and when combined with the “Leica LUX” app, it provides an even more fulfilling photography experience.

The operation panel reflects Leica’s design philosophy and can be operated in the same way as professional Leica cameras. The two-stage shutter button locks the focus when pressed halfway and releases the shutter when pressed all the way.
It also comes equipped with a button that allows you to switch between shooting modes with one touch. The two control sections can be individually customized through “Leica LUX,” allowing you to assign frequently used functions to each for quick access. The easy-to-grip control dial allows you to make fine adjustments to zoom, aperture, shutter speed, exposure compensation, and more.
